If there's anyone on this forum from the Massachusetts area then you know that Jordan's in Reading is the best theater in New England by far. Nothing I've ever been to, including Dolby Cinema, can compare. Both price wise and quality wise. I can't even deal with AMC's prices when this theater is so much better.

Anyone on here been?

Yeah, it’s a great theater. I’ve been just twice though (for The Amazing Spider-Man on 15/70 film and Dunkirk in IMAX laser) since it isn’t in Boston itself and usually when I travel to Boston I’m pretty busy with work to go to a movie out of the way.

Yeah I was skeptical back in 2012 when they were switching from 15/70 to laser but I've definitely been won over since then. The theater is still my favorite. Everything there is an experience.

Just the once for Dunkirk. It's definitely great but it's an hour-plus drive for me.

Planning on seeing Tenet there? The prologue before Star Wars looked fantastic.

I used to live just a few minutes down the road from it but now I'm 45 minutes away

I'm going to see 1917 at my local IMAX. When I saw SW Ep. 9, the audio was very underwhelming compared to other IMAX screenings I've attended.

Mmmmmmmmmmaybe? I'm not sure I'm going to see it at all to be completely honest but if I do I'd want to go there.

I've only been to that once or twice. It does pale in comparison to Reading. Would be nice if they upgraded it for sure.

I'm always amazed at how busy the Reading theater usually is no matter what night of the week. Rise of Skywalker still had a packed screening

was that IMAX 6-track of 12-channel?

I'm planning on seeing Ep. 9 in the latter this coming Wednesday and am curious if it's worth it.

Depending on how it is initially calibrated and maintained. Some premium format theaters will look and sound great, others will make you wonder why the hell where you charged so much for that presentation.

It depends how it is presented. Not all IMAX theaters are projecting filmed in IMAX properly. I swear Avengers: IW Regal D-IMAX presentation didn't present as well as Udvar IMAX presentation of the same movie.

Udvar Hazy is top tier IMAX laser presentation in my book.

I saw "Bad Boys for Life" in Dolby Cinema at Tysons earlier today, and gawdamn was it loud - gave me a headache, which is rare - what thoroughly annoyed me was that the projectionist didn't dim the auditorium lights all the way down, so the intended pop of the colors and luminance was hindered. Complaining at the very beginning of the movie did no good, but I did get a free pass out of it.

Showplace Icon Tyson's Corner has its soft opening this Friday and it has four, count 'em FOUR ICON-X screens with Dolby Atmos sound - whoah-ho-ho, AMC, boo-yah! Showplace kicked it up a notch.

Whoa, where did this come from? and down the street from AMC tyson's?

Let us know what you think overall compared to AMC's and Regal's presentation. Especially the prices for normal and premium format screens.
