Looking at moving up to a 75 4k.looking at spending 1500.sony ,samsung and sharp all around the 1500 mark.should I maybe wait till the new models come out or try to make a deal on a current model as they are a year old now.is it worth the extra 500 to move up to a samsung quantum dot tv ?

your asking a bunch of questions. what you haven't mentioned/listed is the research you have done about these tv's and what you have narrowed it down too. are you just hoping someone will tell you what to buy and you'll just buy that?
nothing wrong with that if that's what your aiming for; i'm just curious as i always am when people don't mention what they have done for themselves in relation to what they are asking from others. |

I’d recommend a Vizio P Series or TCL 6 series at that size and price range. Maybe a Sony 900F if you can stretch the budget a little bit.
Also, TCL and Vizio are releasing new models at that price range and size in a few months which IMO might be worth waiting for given the improvements (more dimming zones for TCL, better processing for Vizio). I would not recommend a Samsung and definitely not a Sharp. |

TCL 6 Series is one of the best bang for your buck models, but I'd say they are more ideal for people who watch movies more given the color, HDR capabilities, and dimming zones (better contrast). Sports require better motion handling, and 99% of regular TV caps at 1080i, which is why I was recommending the Sony more given it has better motion handling and upscaling. The contrast, HDR, and wider color aren't as good but those are attributes geared more towards serious movie watching and not sports or regular TV. I've always seen Sharp as more of the conference-type kind of displays. I've never seen any of their models reviewed well for consumer use. |

The best time to buy a new TV is at the end of the year because, that's when the retailers reduce the prices on their current TVs to get rid of them, to make room for the next year models. Its the same way for automobiles.

how are you liking it? i am a new homeowner, and i haven't bought a tv in about 4 years. i would like to keep my old one upstairs and get a new one for my den. was thinking 65 or 75 inches. are you happy with your purchase?
i cant decide if i want LED/QLED/OLED. i worry about burn-in but i hear it's overrated. i want something for streaming my apps and using the PS4. |
