I'm totally down for Graveyard Shift with the rat tail poster art. I always found that skull design to be super cheesy.

Lol. I was half joking but I think it's unlikely we'll get yet another barrage of Hammer in the next round of announcements. Shout must have run through the majority of their Hammer pickups by now since it's all they've been rolling out for a while now, plus we're long overdue for more Paramount. I hope there's more Warner in the cards but I think they'll leave those for Comic Con (same as most of the big Paramount stuff). April Fool's Day and Bug are the only Shout titles on my wishlist at the moment and I'd like to expand that list.

Thankfully I bought the Lord of Illusions blu YEARS AGO.
That has nothing to do with it, they’re going OOP because the licensing period has expired on them.

I do believe that SF! is more than likely holding off many of their larger recent acquisitions for their annual SDCC announcement, they still need to have a few noteworthy titles for this upcoming summer. I'm still holding out hope that we will finally see I Know What you Did Last Summer in time for the Fourth of July, but who know what they have up their sleeves. I do believe like many have said that there will more than likely be a Big Announcement Friday...

My next Friday the 13th purchase will be a 4K set. I didn't miss out on the big tin set, which was as definitive as it could get short of a 4K edition, so I won't be needing yet another Blu-ray version just for slipcovers.

Although unlikely and probably not many of us would be interested but for summer release I would like the Jaws sequels from SF with tons of extras. They would go well with the upcoming Jaws 4K UHD release from Universal.

I just want Jason Goes to Hell uncut on Blu-ray. The cut version is a true travesty as it cuts almost all of the major violence out of the film.

I missed out on the tin set, so I'd love to see the announcement this Friday. I could see them announcing it for a November 13th release date.

In the Jaws UHD thread someone mentioned that the question had come up at SDCC (I don't know which one) and Jeff revealed they'd tried for the Jaws sequels but Universal turned down the request, suggesting they're very likely in the same boat as the Child's Play sequels.

Yeah I think I saw that. It’s unlikely but I’m hoping maybe by some miracle they managed to get a deal eventually. I can understand why Universal won’t license the first film but why they would want to hoard the rights for the sequels. They had no problem letting SF get rights to the Psycho sequels.

I didn't know that. Too bad. I guess I'll just pick up the Jaws 2 Blu-ray next chance I get then. I'd been holding out hoping for a Scream release of it. (And Jaws: The Revenge. )

For those who may be interested: It has been reported on The War of the Worlds (1953) thread that Kim Newman and Barry Forshaw have recorded an audio commentary for the Paramount release When Worlds Collide for the Australian company Imprint. No announcement or other information yet but an Imprint release seems inevitable.

So here's another blockbuster title that Scream Factory may or may not have, but they really need to announce a huge Paramount title or two now! The suspense continues.

I can understand not being able to access the (original) Child's Play sequels, what with a new one seemingly coming out every other year. Plus this (supposed) new TV series coming at some point.

But Jaws? And the sequels of all things? Why is Universal so protective of three films that range from decent to god-awful? And if it's a question of public consciousness, like the Child's Play films which are ever present nowadays, I say to that... HUH? When was the last time Universal even leveraged the Jaws property for anything? The last sequel is from 1987. Oh sure, there's been repeated rumours over the years about remaking the original film but still...

Go figure Universal.

You and I have very different interpretations of what constitutes a Blockbuster title announcement.

Maybe so, but Scream Factory needs to announce one from Paramount, perhaps War of the Worlds (1953) now.

Hmm. I could have sworn I read that new titles were coming Monday, but maybe they will be coming out on Friday?

It’s gonna be depressing if only Australia gets War of the Worlds (1953)

I can't see them holding off Amazon until Friday, but either way, it would be nice if they'd just give us some indication. Publicly I think they just said 'next week' (last Tuesday I think), but I'm sure someone on here said they were told Monday.
