That would explain the ongoing anger issues. It looks like he cracked the whip one too many times.

Blumhouse passionately wants to do Friday the 13th next, and wants to bring back Tommy Jarvis
Only if Corey Feldman reprises his role!

I had the very same idea. Bringing back OG actors to reprise their roles is a bigger thing these days and I totally see somebody trying to do that with Friday, and that seems like the best thing considering this would be the 13th film in the series, why not make it extra special.

John Shepherd was the best Tommy Jarvis.

John Shepherd was excellent as Tommy in A New Beginning and I wish he would have agreed to come back for Part VI.

I'm calling it now: the next film will be titled FR13AY and it'll be an epic blockbuster pitting every (surviving) final girl in the franchise against multiple incarnations of Jason. Time travel will play a crucial role, and somebody will be sent into the past to kill off Pamela Voorhees before she can conceive Jason.

I think it'll be a hit.

We've got that throwaway necronomicon prop from part 9, so boom there's your time travel device.

I think if Halloween can make such a success out of doing the whole belated sequel thing, Friday the 13th can too. It would be pretty awesome to finally get a film called Friday the 13th: Part 13. I know it doesn't really make sense, but how could you resist using that title?

I'm just imagining the old-school teaser trailer they could do, where it goes 1... 2... 3... all the way up to 13. But this time instead of clips from the new movie, it's clips from the first 12 leading up to now.

[Show spoiler]
He was a very believable f*cked up Tommy. The film would have worked a lot better had they just made him 'Jason' instead of being overly cute and including the twist at the end. The series could have kept him as a human Jason for followup entries rather than going the zombie route (not that I necessarily would have preferred that since I like Zombie Jason in 6-8).

I like Feldman's and Matthews's performances as well though. Matthews probably delivers the performance I enjoy most but it doesn't hurt that Jason Lives is one of my favorites in the series.

He was too much of a pretty boy. I wouldn't have been able to take him seriously if he did exactly what Thom Mathews did in Part VI. Matthews outshined him...easily.

Thom Mathews is the definitive Tommy Jarvis.

Was so glad he was in the Ft13th game.

Would love to see another film centered on him and Jason.

Love his voice work in the game.

Did you see him in Never Hike Alone? He could totally pull off a role like the one that was written for Jamie Lee Curtis in the latest Halloween.

All three Tommy Jarvises (sp?) are good.

But Corey Feldman is the best.

He makes monster masks and such. Just watch how he spazzes out when he sees the teens next door undressing and making out. Or skinny dipping. "Some pack of patooskies, huh?" And how he gets inside Jason's head at the end, before delivering the final blow(s).

Feldman FTW.

Friday the 13th Writers Reveal New Details About Unmade, Winter-Set Sequel

Quote:
To mark today's date (Friday the 13th), the screenwriters from the reboot Damian Shannon & Mark Swift have been answering fan questions about their time working on the series including new details about their sequel that never got made.

The pair previously revealed the title for their sequel which was Friday The 13th: Camp Blood, and which carried the subtitle: "The Death Of Jason Voorhees," and would have brought a new setting to the series by placing the hockey-masked killer in the snow and dead of winter. Shannon & Swift revealed today however that the new film would have also seen flashbacks to Young Jason's life and featured more of his mother Pamela (featured in the opening scene of the 2009 reboot).

"We talked about (giving her an expanded role in the reboot)," they tweeted. "Ultimately that idea was left behind... because we wanted it for the sequel! Yes, here for the first time ever, can confirm that we had extended flashbacks in the unmade winter sequel with Pamela and Elias. Oh and Pamela was the f***ing terrifying one…"

The pair also confirmed that they intended to bring the character of Tommy Jarvis into the fold with their Friday The 13th: Camp Blood sequel. Originally played by Corey Feldman in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (the fourth film), (Source)

That sounds terrible. I don't want any flashbacks. The only "cool" thing about it would be the snow setting.

Just give us a F13th reboot with Pamela as the killer again and keep it under wraps, so nobody knows until its revealed in the movie.

LOL, I wrote this script in summer 2000 when I was 19. I called it "Real Friday 13" and laid down a lot of editing and cinematography rules. I think it was way too long at 137 pages but it was full of action set pieces and a big twist ending.

When the piece of crap 2009 movie came out (now the longest gap between sequels and it feels like yesterday) I knew that the time for Friday the 13th had come and gone so I recycled all of the best ideas into my own original screenplay.

I've written 5 screenplays in my life, and 6 novels. One of my screenplays ended up in the hands of James Patterson and he plagiarised me by stealing my idea and writing a novel featuring the same plot and same characters "sharing" a credit with another writer. I won't say which novel it is.

Not written a screenplay since 2010 as I hate the format. Oh, to go back to those summer 2000 days, almost half my life ago, when I was full of hope and dreams. Now I'm just a cynical, broken, middle-aged fool who is still an unpublished writer. I have an agent, but she's useless.
