I wouldn’t be surprised. I was sick for Atleast 2 weeks in December with constant coughing. Longest and worst I’ve been sick in many years. Pretty much everyone in my work area got it

Ohio Governor DeWine issues an order closing all bars & restaurants at 9PM tonight for an extended period of time. "Establishments can stay open for carry-out and delivery. What we can't have is people congregating and seated."

I was sick twice this winter. Got the flu even though I had the shot.

Another who was sick for three weeks in December. Started feeling ill on my birthday and pretty much had Christmas and New Years ruined. I felt like I had been touched by death and don't want to go through that again...or worse.

I had to leave work early atleast once and call out Atleast twice. I’ve never had it that before

When will the buffets shut down? Those tongs are germ filled devices. Pizza Ranch is my fave I'd hate to see it shut down for a few months.

It was definitely here by January 15th, when someone came back from Wuhan with it in Washington, so that's almost certainly why Washington became a huge hot zone for it, where otherwise it wouldn't really be. It's possible it was here undetected for weeks prior. We were too slow, and not restrictive enough with our restrictions on travel to/from China, and other places with it.

I really hope they've been preparing for a situation where schools are closed. We are talking about a million kids, and sadly their lunch is often the best meal they get. So the strategy will likely be for them to be able to go there to get a lunch in a bag or whatever, but also for kids who's parents don't have any way to look after them will be able to leave them there too, as a sort of latch key thing.

Soon I suspect. Our local Hong Kong Buffet normally does a ton of business Saturday for dinner. HUGE parking lot. Drove past it last night at 5:30 PM. The parking lot was practically empty.

I know this probably won't make a huge difference, but I'd like it if everyone here just told everyone they know that they should stay home as much as possible, and also to pass that message on to everyone they know, and so forth. That message needs to be as viral and exponential as this virus right now. Obviously there are exceptions to that, but people just aren't getting how serious this is.

Schools: closed
Movie theaters: half closed
Restaurants: many closed
Bars: many closed
Gatherings over 250 people: closed

Probably, especially if you have schools already shutting down, which means many of those restaurant workers will probably have to be home for their kids anyway.
