The Friday The 13th franchise is one that I have no interest in. I saw part of the first entry at the theater during its theatrical run and it remains the only movie that I have ever walked out on.

Vilya or other Sony TV owners that have Sony Android TV’s. Is there a way to see the source video frame rate? Is there a way to see the actual displayed frame rate? Can you add apps from the Play Store?

Asked because I have installed Refresh Rate on my Nvidia Shield Pro and I’m in the process of getting it set up. I watch a fair amount of stuff with 23.976, 24 and 25 frame rates. The 24 and 25 content stutter steps and really bugs me. On the Sony UBP-X1000ES outputting original frame is just checking one radio button, unfortunately, the apps are limited and no Dolby Atmos via streaming.

I don't know as I have not tried to see what the source frame rates were nor have I tried to add any apps from the Google Play store. I don't stream often enough to explore it in that level of detail; I have you for that.

The next time that I stream something, I will try and see if I can pull up those source frame rates.

I didn’t feel right not having the boxset and it was only £20. Good value I think. I liked the 1st and 4th movie best one but as a horror fanatic, it’s essential I own them!

Obviously not a patch on Halloween, TCM, The Shining, The Exorcist etc..

I’m a horror nut (some would say just a nut)

How old are you by the way? Those are oldies you mentioned before.

You missed Jason’s famous lunge at the end?

That’s when your bird would grab you in the cinema!

I just checked on my Sony 900F in my bedroom, I can’t find a way to find out about the frame rate too.

Well, that's the same model as mine, so if you can't find it I doubt that I could.

It may be just me but I have not met any morons that posses the hardware and certifications that you do! Anyway, thanks for looking.

Will your Panasonic 9000 show this kind of information for streaming?

On my Sony projector I can select Menu and scroll down to Information and it will show me Frame Rate, Resolution, Lamp Time, etc.

I can be pretty certain that my Oppo 203 won't show this kind of streaming information.

are we! But don't you just love the info it shows for disc? Wish they had added MaxCLL and MaxFALL to the info screen. I believe the Panasonic 9000 does show this info.

Netflix has agreed to the EU's request and is lowering their streaming quality:

To be more accurate, Netflix said:

" it would reduce the bit rate of all its video streams for 30 days."

"We estimate that this will reduce Netflix traffic on European networks by around 25% while also ensuring a good quality service for our members," a Netflix spokesperson said in a statement."

Netflix also said that some of their customers would not even notice the difference, which can be read in a number of ways like that being because their customers are not that demanding to begin with maybe?

"A Netflix spokesperson told CNN Business the reduction may mean some users "see a reduction in perceptible video quality," while others won't see any change."

Sky have allowed customers to cancel sports for a month or effectively freeze it, Netflix should knock a couple of pound off the monthly bill.

Also, Disney+ is launching here. Not a great first impression seeing blurry, muddy SD!

I’m going to squeeze them for a huge reduction. My contract is up and I will just threaten to leave. Not because of the virus, just the rising costs.

I might cancel my sports package as we won't have any football to watch until the end of April steedeel.

Perfect excuse to skimp on the bit rate even further when things are back to normal. Just give them 1mbps HD, they will be happy with that!
