It's tonight folks! If Joe Bob does show stuff like Dial Santa and SNDN2 then it's a shame that Shudder add those movies to the service at the start of the month. Why not leave it till the night and have them air them before being made available on demand afterwards, especially as some people might already have watched them when they went up on the service.

I love Joe Bob but I'm surprised by his ratings sometimes. Black Christmas gets 3 Stars, Jack Frost gets 3 1/2, huh? Black Christmas is excellent, Jack Frost is unwatchable garbage - and I'm a big fan of bad movies typically. Epic Rudolph rant at the beginning of the marathon though.

The opening Rudolph rant was hilarious. I love how he mocks SJW nonsense.

This was my third time seeing Black Christmas, and I still don't like it. I agree with all of Joe Bob's criticisms at the end and then some. It just doesn't do anything for me and really does feel like merely a trick pulled on the viewer. Three stars is very generous, IMO.

Not a fan of Jack Frost, either, but as usual Joe Bob has been keeping me highly entertained even when the films lack. Curious what the final film will be.

And Darcy in that Christmas outfit.

Jack Frost is awesome. It is going for a certain vibe and hits it. I remember the sequel being alright as well

Despite the lackluster movies, that was a fun marathon.

Looking forward to the second season, which I was hoping they would announce a premiere date for tonight.

I disagree with his opinion on the ending though, I think it's good. It's very bleak, like the rest of the movie, and I think it's an effective ending.

Also him saying there aren't really any good Canadian horror movies is way off, I can think of several off the top of my head.

Yeah, I hear the words "Canadian Horror" and David Cronenberg's face automatically pops into my head. I also love My Bloody Valentine and Happy Birthday to Me and consider them and Black Christmas some of my favorite slasher films.

Now, I'm not saying he can't have his opinions on whatever, just saying I don't agree with his thoughts on Black Christmas.

After (finally) seeing last year's Phantasm Christmas marathon, I hopped over to the original marathon to see which movies were left. I noticed that Demons was missing, yet the movie itself is still available to stream on Shudder. So I wonder why the Joe Bob version is gone.

Oh, my. Just finished Silent Night, Deadly Night 2, and Darcy's story at the end of the episode, wow. I had no idea. As Joe Bob put it, "That's like a 4 hour Lifetime movie." She's definitely a strong woman. Glad she and her son made it through such a harrowing experience.

Whoa! What happened to Darcy?!

I don't have Shudder right now to watch Joe Bob :-(

She told the story of how she escaped her abusive boyfriend and was able to start making a life for herself. Her description of what her and her son's lives were like with him was pretty shocking and harrowing, especially coming after Joe Bob's rather comical story of getting kicked off an NYC bus because he couldn't pay the fare. Even Joe Bob seemed pretty shocked by her story.

Was surprised we hadn't heard anything about season two yet (coming up on nearly one year since season one premiered) but Joe Bob said on Instagram that we should expect an announcement from Shudder very soon.

Hadn't seen that. Thanks for sharing.

I was following Joe Bob and Darci's road trip to deliver the Drive-In Theater and Monstervision tapes on Instagram recently. I remember that years ago on Facebook Joe Bob said he still had all the Beta masters of those and asked fans if they would be interested in DVDs of the host segments, since they obviously couldn't include the actual films. It would be great if they could digitize all those segments and then make them available on Youtube or DVD like JB originally mentioned. I would love to see those again in better quality than you can find now on Youtube.

Off topic, but Joe Bob Briggs (whose real name is John Bloom-full name John Irving Bloom) played that jerk Don Ward in Martin Scorsese’s masterpiece film Casino in 1995.
