Default Eco case discussion

Did anyone else get a strange disc case with open cut out patterns in it?. I think it looks like a huge recycling logo.On the backside of the case is a huge star pattern.

this has been reported with various blurays...silence of the lambs was a big one. probably an attempt to go "greener" with blu

EDIT: is this what you are talking about?

Out of about 450 DVDs and 225 or so BR movies I've only seen it on Irreversible (DVD) and Silence of the Lambs (BR).

Seems my next will be QoS. it's an interesting choice, but it doesn't seem to affect anything, so if it saves wasting some material, more power to 'em (more likely it saves them a tiny amount of monies - it adds up!).

you can always buy some extra cases from sleevetown or somewhere else and switch it out

i personally like they there are attempts being made even with bluray cases to save the environment, but that's just me.

The first Blu-Ray like that I purchased was The Robe and (presumably) Quantum of Solace will join that list tonight...

I find the cases feel a bit flimsier than the normal case, but my Robe disk arrived just fine.

Yikes! I didn't get a case like that. I'd hate it if I had!!

I got a completely normal case. Mine was purchased at Walmart Canada.

Ugh, I got one of these with my copy of Princess Bride (I thought I didn't originally).

I ordered a few regular cases from the Sleevetown to replace it, as well as future.

I'LL TEACH THEM TO TRY TO SAVE THE EARTH!
