Braveheart and Forrest Gump has Atmos, Gladiator is DTS-X most definitely because it's a Universal Studios film and Paramount is only involved in distribution in some countries, including US.

His helmet in the original film was perfect but his helmet in this new one looks all wrong. The shape of it is off. I dont know why they couldn't just reuse the identical one from the first film.

Well, for one thing, the same helmet design might not work between an F-14 and an F-18 (I did notice that the air supply hose is now on the side rather than centered, but I'm not sure if that would necessitate a new helmet in reality. Also, Tom Cruise's face is a bit, erm, beefier-looking than it was in 1986. Even an identical helmet wouldn't look the same on his head now as it did then. So it doesn't bother me too much honestly.

Wonder when this will get a U.K release date along with Days of Thunder? Tried to pre-order these from Amazon.com but it won’t deliver to the U.K!

I'll bet cash money it's just because the person who put the art together didn't notice that the disc art they used had 3D on it.

Must be a misprint on the photo. No way it'll actually come with the 3D disc.

Unless they've re-pressed it to make it 2D-able, because that was the disc with the new master. But I doubt it.

Imports are pretty much locked down now, if there's no UK release planned (though we're still a long way out from release date and we don't get any announcements any more anyway, we only know when they pop up on zoom ) then that'll be that for imports for a while. Maybe those eBay sellers who get them mega early could still make it happen, but if they charge £40+ now I dread to think what the corona premium would be. I know of some people here who'd still pay it though!

I seriously can’t believe they did this. I can’t imagine any error that I’d find more irritating. The F-14 is a character in Top Gun. The stupidest part is that F-14’s are featured in other places in the art, which makes it look even more glaring and out of place.

Personally, I couldn't care less what the artwork looks like because I'm not looking at the case...ever. But every one of these re-imaginings is a huge slap in the face to collectors and further proves that the morons who run marketing departments have no concept of what their audience truly wants.
