pretty much how it is where i work.

we've been deemed an essential business (no clue HOW, though), but people keep buying things that are definitely NON-essential products. i wonder what they'd do if all they were allowed to buy was items that were deemed essential instead of just anything/everything in the store.

People are already limited to buying from certain stores, why would you also want to limit what they can buy? For example, when I go to Target, aside from picking up things I need I also take a peak at the movie section to see if theres anything I may want to pick up to help keep me entertained during all this. Should I not be allowed to do that?

If you limit people anymore I don't think riots would be too far behind.

If this lockdown shit is still going by June, NO ONE is going to obey self-quarantine suggestions or even flat-out laws. If it's sunny and 75 outside, people will want to go out, and nothing will stop them, so we need to get cracking on a vaccine.

As long as people have what they need to survive then they'll be content. Start taking that away then we'd start seeing issues. Movies and games aren't essential for life to continue.

Bringing a vaccine to use isn't like baking cookies lol...it takes some time.

I realize that, but even the lack of one isn't going to prevent people from leaving their homes once the great outdoors start beckoning as the weather turns nice, especially kids and teens who have been cooped up for weeks already, let alone two months from now. A vaccine needs to be a top priority, not policing people into staying home with well-intentioned but impossible to abide by public service ads from celebs who can afford to stay home for months if not years on end without having to worry about where their grocery or rent money is coming from.

Even if no stores or movie theaters are allowed to open by June, I'm going out, regardless. And no one's stopping me.

Ive already heard people complain because they cant shop at other places. Again, limit what people can buy at the already limited places that are open & there will be problems.

I’m not taking any vaccine for at least a year or two or three. Rushing to find one and everyone takes it to find out that the side effects are one year later it makes you blind or something.

People can only get by so long on the bare necessities. All consumers have a need to go out and consume, whether it's clothing, movies, books, a good meal at a restaurant, or whatever, and being only able to go out to the supermarket and nothing else is gonna drive people insane if it goes on too much longer. I'm already going nuts, and it's been only three weeks.

An antibody serum will potentially give everyone in the entire world immunity for as much as a couple months.

How bad is it in NYC? According to 60 Minutes, there are signs posted on street corners asking for retired medical professionals to come out of retirement and help the hospitals.

OMG.

I think there's going to be shortages of staff in every state. New York in many ways is ahead of every state with this. We've done more testing than anywhere else here (and more than most countries), and are estimated to reach our peak (or apex) in as little as 2 weeks. Other states like NJ, Michigan, and others are eventually going to look like NYC respective to their population densities.

See if you can get them to tell you when the next 18 wheeler is due in at your Dollar Tree store. Or try Family Dollar if you have them.

Correct. The Superbowl of the Church is cancelled. Along with Easter Egg hunts and high sugar intake, which inhibits the immune system.
