Best Buy is 1 of 20 U.S. retailers that is considered essential. Appliances is part of the reason, but also their cell phone and computer departments along with their Geek Squad support. With so many people now having to work from home for the 1st time there is a need for them.

I don't have a questions with TLJ. Has anyone compared the DV 4K original release disc v the new HDR10? Is one better then the other? I Just got the saga set and I'm wondering if I should keep both

Anyway, I haven't opened my set yet. But curious if you can leave the j-card glued on and still separate the box to access the book/discs? I can live with the j-card and probably prefer it to a large glue stain...
You can, but I just leave mine draping over it as I dont want the glue to damage the box.

Thanks!
I no where you coming from if you had it shipped standard shipping it takes 7 to 10 days. mine said shipped on the 23rd march and it did not show any movement and then all the sudden it says out for delivery on the 31st march. so if it shows shipped five days ago you should get it 7 to 10 days. good luck.

I posted a bit further up the thread -I only spent maybe five minutes comparing and used the opening space battle and Throne Room fight to compare. I thought the differences were negligible and my wife thought the new HDR might be a touch clearer (she was paying attention to Snoke’s textures in the throne room). Needless to say, I assumed I’d be holding onto my Dolby Vision disc and now I’m not so sure. I’d love to hear a second opinion though.

Purest will want kill me but I got this set yesterday. Opening was a joke as the outer box is too tight and tore off the lousy ,cheap paper covering the 4 corners. All discs were tight. Artwork is cool but, whatever. So, I sold the codes here and sold everything else except the 4K discs. What can I say, I never watch the extras discs. Wound up getting all the 9 movies in 4K for $5.80 each. I'm happy. (collectors please don't flame me). :-)

I have a minor audio glitch in the 4K RETURN OF THE JEDI -- right at the beginning -- as the first shot of the Star Destroyer passing overhead cuts to the wider shot of the Star Destroyers with Vader's shuttle flying towards us. It's literally on the cut from one shot to another. Anyone else see this on their copy?

The most hilarious scene is George walking out of his office and happily showing off the first draft of the phantom menace.

Oh boy, and as we know, the poor guy never wrote a second.

The man cannot write. His dialogue is laughable, his direction even worse. His over reliance on CGI has hurt his PT over time. Even he had to dial back on the always embarrassing Jarr Jarr Binks in the last two. Goodness, there's no way a curmudgeon luke skywalker will ever be worse than what that naive man crafted in the PT.

I honestly want to sit down with someone who says they enjoy the PT and watch THEM watch the whole trilogy. I would bet half the time they're on their phones or looking bored. I would challenge their assertion that they in fact find any entertainment in those horrid, humorless, dreadful creations.

Or does the simple sound and look of a light saber just negate all the bad for them? Do they truly not care for character, acting, writing, tone, dialogue, cinematography or anything that actually makes good movies good?

Acting wasn't all that great in the original trilogy either.
Characters were intriguing in the prequels.
Tone was fine and similar to the originals.
Writing for all 6 was about equal. It was the dialogue that wasn't so great. Goes for all 6.
Cinematography was great across all 6.
The plot of the prequels was the only time the series was plotted out (for the most part) from the beginning of a trilogy.

The Sequels my have had "better" acting, but thats the ONLY thing going for it.

I noticed details after 100 viewings I had never seen look that clearly. But I was still looking/hoping for a little bit more. I'd give it a 7.5/7.75 similarly to Revenge of the Sith. They have a different look to them, but both are good decent transfers, not not greatness.

Empire Strikes Back - After reading on here that people were disappointed in this release of the Original Trilogy, after viewing last night I can say it was just as good as New Hope. Solid clear transfer of a very old film. It is not jaw dropping, but it is not disappointing either. Maybe a little soft at times...

Return of the Jedi - Probably my favorite 4K disc of the 6 films. Someone previously said that it had an almost 3D look to it and I think I see what they mean. The colors seemed more vibrant and detail looked a tad sharper than the others. I think this will fall short of being demo worth, and will probably not be on anyone's top 10 discs to showcase, but it is a worthy upgrade if you owned the blu-rays. I'd give it an 8/10.
Do these look really processed? Any resemblance to 35mm film?

It was the "fans" who drove Lucas out to sell the property out in the first place, because they were so poisonous to him, with them constantly saying that he raped their childhoods, and the like. He lost his passion.
