Just curious, if I already have The Last Jedi 4K steelbook, should I use that disc instead of the one packaged with the Skywalker set? I know the Steelbook had Dolby Vision but anything else different compared the the Skywalker Saga version? Thx in advance

Picked up seven of them at BB - no bag of course, lol. (what a ridiculous policy) I wish the slipcovers had gotten the fully embossed treatment, but are still pretty nice. Anxious to dive into the OT tonight and tomorrow.
Glad I held off on buying the digital copies... the $30 is def easier to spend knowing the DC's cost $15 by themselves. Last edited by Sketchkid; 04-02-2020 at 01:38 AM. |

I watched my pan and scan Special Edition tapes almost daily for a period of time as a kid, but the 2004 DVDs made a more lasting impression in terms of PQ. Those discs and the Blu-rays were so over saturated and high contrast. The new 4K disc for Star Wars at least is a huge improvement to my eyes, with a more natural look. The Special Edition additions look pretty horrendous clarity-wise. Can’t wait to watch the rest!

I've already pre-ordered the individual releases for the PT (and about to do the same for Rogue One when the price drops a little). It's a shame TPM doesn't look like it is supposed to but I still want it. The OT on UHD on the other hand, I'm not so sure if I still want that judging from what I saw on D+. ![]() |

I popped in a few min of III, IV and IX and they all looked stunning. That's good enough for me. Definitely the best they've ever looked in my experience.

I've created an image of all the individual slip covers.
They look great all lined up. Last edited by Darren Pillans; 04-02-2020 at 08:42 AM. |
