I think it's a great piece of work but one that demands your attention. Only for these exceptional circumstances, I wouldn't have been able to enjoy it.

The picture quality on the Second Sight blu-ray is a mixed bag; probably because of the source material. Many times the quality is excellent and then all of a sudden it's quite fuzzy. At times it's like watching 1080p and then 480p at the same time. However this did not affect my experience at all. I had sort of expected this before watching.

There are a lot of extras which I will watch today.
I always find Fassbinder's output very erratic - I love World on a Wire, like Maria Braun but couldn't get into American Soldier at all - but that's one of those shows like Heimat and the 80s mini-series version of Das Boot that I always mean to get round to but always just seem too formidable to make a start on, and there's always something else in the to watch pile. I've still got Fassbinder's Eight Hours Don't Make a Day sitting on the shelf waiting for me to watch it, though house arrest may just be the incentive I need to start.
