I don't want to single out any particular group, but the Ultra Orthox / Hasidic Jewish community are almost single-handedly ****ing shit up in the city. It wouldn't surprise me if at least a fourth of all cases in NYC were from them.

And this https://nypost.com/2020/04/04/nyc-fi...neezes-on-him/

They honestly don't give a shit, and it's utterly disgusting. All I have to say is Thank God they mostly just stay around themselves, but they're still putting a huge strain on the hospitals.

Andrew Cuomo..

Today I am increasing the maximum fine for violations of state-mandated social distancing rules from $500 to $1000.

This is an enemy we have underestimated since day one. This is not the time to be lax. We need to #StayHome and stay properly distanced. Source

What good is this if it's not enforced? Just another worthless message from our d1ckl3ss governor

I can think of another former Marine on these forums who needs one of those citations.

I live in Central Pennsylvania, and this has been a very hot topic of conversation in the area. Lots of of very strong opinions on both sides.

I'm in southeast PA. What's the hot topic, the extent to which the police are enforcing stay at home orders?

What's the deal about driving around? If you're sealed inside your car, you're not coming into contact with other people.

If you've been ordered to stay in place, driving around in a car is not doing that.

What if you have an accident, need the police, an ambulance and then a hospital bed and staff to look after you just because you wanted to have a drive around in your car...

Hard to have an accident when there's almost zero traffic.

Some feel the police should have exercised leniency. Some feel it served her right for not obeying the rules put into place by the Governor.

Yup. The morning traffic person on the morning news has to be the most useless job right now.

"And in traffic....everything is looking good....over to you Ted!"

I wonder what the CV-19 rates are in the town of Palm Tree (formerly Kiryas Joel) in Orange County, NY. It's a 220 acre town with 20,000 Hasidic Jews (only residents).
