Paramount is also reissuing several titles on BD-R (or MOD) as noted in the Paramount MOD thread so it appears they have a 3-tier release plan: The "essentials" they're handling themselves (Beverly Hills Cop, Fatal Attraction, etc.), the non-essentials are getting BD-Rs reportedly (Clueless, The Ring, Along Came A Spider) and the rest are being farmed out to boutiques. I don't have a problem with this strategy at all, as long as they don't primarily focus on re-releasing the same titles.

I didn't like the Beverly Hills Cop set. It was one of those blurays where parts look good and parts not good. I rather have the dvd a steady fair transfer.

I am wondering if this got delayed or copies didn`t ship on time as there isn`t a single review for it and I`m also not seeing any instagramers posting pics of early review copies

Ryhthm Section review copies are already posted on YouTube and Instagram, even though that Paramount blu actually releases a week later.

review copies were sent out by paramount over the weekend. reviewers should be receiving them any day now

I called it, gatefold slipcover. The case itself is a regular transparent case and not the thick Criterion case kind.

The same picture quality as the previous disc? The extras are retained? Yeah that’s a lot of factual inaccuracies in one video

I hope we get a professional review. These are supposed to be brand new remasters.
