Why is it in the movie [fill in the blank], the villain [fill in the blank] has the hero [fill in the blank] helpless and at his mercy, but instead of just killing him, he spends the next few minutes explaining in great detail to the hero about his evil plan to [fill in the blank], giving the hero enough time to figure out a way to either fight back or escape and thwart the plan.
