They are new transfers, the Lucasfilm logo is the same logo that they used for Rogue One, Solo, and Force Awakens - Rise of Skywalker

No need to go to all that effort. There's a box set that only has the BD's as well.

So far I have ordered episodes 3, 4, and 7 on 4k. I also ordered Rogue one. Are the rest of the new 4k releases worth getting? I already own the blu ray box set.

Thanks for the tip. I am aware of that one and was gonna pull the trigger, but apparently Amazon UK has restrictions right now and won't mail to the U.S. Kinda want to keep watching these with the wife and kids during the quarantine as they're comfort food to all of us...

If you are a fan I would get them all. Even with TPM and AOTC being the smallest upgrades I would still go for it. But if you don't have Atmos or an HDR television then maybe wait.

I knew about the McClunkey edit in ANH... but what was tweaked in TPM?

I believe a loose part of a podracer comes flying "out of the screen" when Anakin's pod hits trouble during the second lap of the race. Then again, I only saw the 3D version once, 8 years ago.

I am no expert on such things, but I won't let such little details prevent me from commenting.

If my understanding is correct, 4K HDR screengrabs are notorious for translating poorly into the SDR images posted online in forums such as these; some do a better job than others with this conversion.

All cinema that makes an impact of any kind is "serious cinema" -- even HALLOWEEN and FRIDAY THE 13TH. It's such a surprising declaration that honestly makes me write off his future opinions.

He wasn't so dismissive of Empire; I guess it would've been weird while name dropping Irvin Kershner?

Anyone noticing stuttering? It's slight, but its there. I have an Oppo 203 and so far I've noticed it on the original trilogy and the new sequels. Haven't seen the prequels yet. Any idea?

Hmm... I too have an Oppo 203 and haven't noticed any stuttering -- just a couple very minor audio glitches I've posted previously. I've skipped through all the movies but have so far only seen RISE OF SKYWALKER, PHANTOM MENACE and CLONES in their entirety from the 4K discs. Didn't notice any stuttering in my extensive "scene checking" of EMPIRE and RETURN OF THE JEDI, though. (My A NEW HOPE discs will never get played... I only watch 4K77 v1.4 for that). Are there any specific scenes where you're seeing it; is it occasional or throughout? Is it repeatable or does it "fix" itself when you skip back and play again?
