I bought Berserk 2016-2017 on Blu-ray (ordered it this week in fact). Shitty production doesn't make me hate a story. But I might not be the best reference here. I also loved GITS Arise a lot - so much that I imported the 5th movie not even released in the US - and almost everyone hated it.
