Enjoyed the movie it was intense but it's almost like they edited it so the movie fits within 90 minutes?
I used headphones and the audio was only ok, there seem to be some volume issues with some action on screen suddenly became quieter than expected. so question in the end.. [Show spoiler]

Well, the completist in me wants this even though I didn't care for it. It's also been long enough that I'd like to give it a second shot. Trying to find the best version out there, meaning UHD extended and hopefully a region A BD without hardcoded subs for either. Read through several pages and I think I'll just go for the domestic release. Seems too convoluted.
If anyone knows of a 4K / BD combo that features the extended cut without hardcoded subs and a region A friendly BD posting a link will be appreciated. |

I'd imagine it'll eventually get a extended cut in the U.S. like Rambo 2008. |

I thought about the Aussie but concerned over region issues on the BD. I see the Extended Cut is now streaming for free on Prime. I'll just see the deleted opening that way and get the domestic release. I generally hate getting imports unless there is no other choice because of their ugly 12 and 15 ratings on the cover. If for some reason you want a BD to go along with it, the Aussie release is Extended but I'm not sure if the disc is region free. As for the art, it looks like this: ![]() The spine is in English with no rating symbol. No slipcover though. I kept my original US release just to have it but the German UHD is my definitive copy. |

Just watched the UHD in Amazon Prime. Shame the extended cut is only in 1080p but I quickly watched those scenes after.
Didn’t really miss much. They did a good job establishing the bad guys, I just think they rushed it too much at the end. Heck, one of the main villains is killed off screen which is strange in a movie this violent. |

I dunno what other people think of the extended cut, but I really dug the added scenes especially the beginning, the rescue attempt was a better way to start the film than what they gave us in the states. Why didn't they just leave it in? It only benefitted.

I’m spilt on the film. I really didn’t care for it the first time around and the extended cut didn’t change my mind. I really loved that first opening scene though. I think it made me dislike the EC more because it was all downhill from there for me.
