It does lead directly into it, but the retconning will be complete when Clone Wars S7 finishes because that'll lead into ROTS in its own way.

They were quick to disown it but I don't believe that Lucas had no involvement/control over it at all. The problem was that Lucas himself didn't know what he was doing with the characters in-between films, hence the appearance of a powerful cyborg warrior working for the Separatists who wasn't Grievous who quickly got sidelined for Grievous. In other words I think Lucas gave them some general outlines and guidance but when he needed to put his foot down, he did.

I do still love the Tartakovsky show though, Grievous has never been more badass than here and that whole action sequence with the train is amazing.

My individual 4K copies arrived from Target yesterday, a fun Easter surprise.

Attack of The Clones is scratched to hell and back due to the disc stacking- completely froze in the middle of the movie and had to redeem the digital copy to finish watching on VUDU.

Is there a way to exchange the item online or will I have to wait for when/if in-store exchanges eventually resume?

A chap had the similar issue with The Phantom Menace, he was able to get a replacement sent out (they asked him to bin the faulty copy). But you will have to ring them.

Combing through the various special features from each disc, I have to say that I’m really underwhelmed in general.

95% of it has nothing to do with story.

It’s almost entirely focused on production elements, design and special effects.

Between all the discs for each film, I might be able to scrape together five minutes of conversation about narrative, themes and characters.

...it does not satisfy me.

Hence the Lucas commentaries.

Each to their own, the only features I'm interested in is Special Effects.

Personally I hate special features that focus on what I can learn from just watching the movie myself.

Like?

Sometimes special features spoil the illusion. I was racking my brain working out how they did Gravity, when I saw the special features it was obvious and now I can't unsee it.

How does the "cantina rough cut" deleted scene look on the new release? Is it the same black and white 480p at best quality we're used to? Or was it re-scanned

I have rewatched the three big documentaries that were made for the three prequels, and they are wonderful. A remarkable insight into how they were made and the technology that was literally invented as the movies were being made.

Whatever anyone thinks of the prequels themselves, watching those docs its undeniable how vital they were to the progress of making movies as we know it now. Watching Lucas conducting every part of the production is fascinating.

I’m really looking forward to pulling the trigger on all of these once Best Buy releases the Steelbooks. It’s hard to wait, but it will be worth it.

No they haven’t been officially announced. People are assuming they will be released sometime in the next few months.

If the big set doesn’t sell well, I don’t see them pushing out additional steelbooks in this economy unless there’s a new release.

Hi, can anyone tell me if all the special features from 'The Complete Saga' blu-ray boxset have been carried over to this new boxset?

So all the talk, screen caps showing the DNR on the OT, I was trying to work out why Star Wars may look better than ESB and ROTJ.

What if they took the DNR setting and applied a 3 out of 5 available and thought that looks good for Star Wars, we can apply the same setting to the other two without changing the dial.

Alternatively they tried a 2 on all the films but were not happy with the amount of fuzz left so they had to apply a 3 instead.

Is it possible there were not enough settings for a 2.5 DNR use so it is was either grainy or smooth and they went for the smooth.

Or it is just my first point and lazily applied the same setting to all three films.

Any thoughts?
