I own the first edition got it for $12 so not bad. Anyways is the audio the only difference or is the PQ actually better here to? I can't justify spending another $20 on a double dip if it's just for the audio when there are so many great new titles hitting the street same time.

read through the thread as there are many discussions about the difference in PQ. but to summarize, yet it will be better but likely not astoundingly so. there will also be a plethora of special features, whereas the current blu is fairly lacking in that area (and many people don't care about those anyways...altho i do ). if you're not a huge fan of the movie then you are probably good with your current edition

I tried to read through but after about 8 pages I just wanted an answer faster lol. I am a fan but after seeing some of the really hilarious mistakes in hi-def like the horse jokey with the 5 o'clock shadow riding the dirt bike as Eddie Furlong's stunt double it kind of ruined some of the magic this movie once held for me. I will probably pick this title up when it comes down $10 so thanks!

no problem...that sounds like a good idea and yeh...there are a lot of pages in here now, but somewhere hidden in there are some good explanations of what to expect with the new edition, just have to spend some time digging for it but understandable that many don't want to

I spent Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday re-watching the Terminator movies in anticipation for the T2 re-release. I want the theater release. The extended DVD release runs too long and simply is not as sharply edited. Put those extended scenes in the extra's where they belong.

Now where do I get a GOOD blu-ray release of T1, seeing as the one out there is supposed crap.

I thought I read in here somewhere the people that did the bond restorations, lowry, are working on T1. I will get that day one.

They've advanced the timetable on it I guess, it wasn't supposed to be out until the T4 Blu came out. This thing literally just hit the press site and probably wasn't supposed to be on the public site yet. This is a great example of how things get moved around If I had to guess, Fox figured Christmas might be crowded enough with catalog stuff, it might get buried in the shuffle

According to Digitalbits, MGM/Fox will re-release the old one with a new slipcover in May, but it's not the new Lowry one..
