Default Monsters Vs. Aliens

Just saw Gene Shalit(that dude with the big hair who looks and dresses like he's been forever stuck in the 70's!) on Today a couple of minutes ago and he seemed to like it overall, anybody plan on seeing this over the weekend or the future or just gonna wait for the Blu releaset to come out, which should look and sound really awesome .I think i'll wait until the Blu gets released myself!

This movie does look fun I might go see it myself. I don't know if it will be this weekend though I still haven't seen watchmen which I want to see more so than this movie...

I'm taking my kids to see it on Sunday. My nine year old son is very psyched, he has the lines from the trailers down pat. I will post my thoughts afterwards.

I saw it last week in 3D. It wasn't bad. Seth Rogan is without a doubt the funniest parts of the movie.

I wonder how many people are going to go to this movie thinking it'll be 3D and find out their theater doesn't support 3D. I read that only about 20% of the theaters are equipped for 3D, but I bet most people don't know that not all theaters are 3D. I know I almost went to My Bloody Valentine purely for the 3D but found out beforehand that my theater doesn't do 3D.

You make a very good point. I am going to call the theater first and make sure I chose the right one.

CNN review wasn't too kind to the movie. I was really hoping this would be as good as Kung Fu Panda. We will however be taking the kids to see this next weekend (this weekend is too busy) Maybe it was just the reviewer.
Entertainment Weekly gave it a C+.

I am sure it will make a ton of money this weekend at any rate.

I loved this Yahoo! user review....

This Movie is Great!!
by jeffwomackthechamp Mar 27, 2009

I took my friend jimmy to see this movie. He at all the popcorn, but do not worry. Refills are free. Free refills on Pop too if you upsize the combo!! I did.

The movie was the best kid/adult movie of all time. With the possible exception of the classic movie "Used Cars".

We had great seats. The B&B Movie Theatre is second to none. The staff was polite and they enjoy making "Movie Magic" at the Mejestic.

I enjoy the giant girl. She was smoking hot and very big. I was torn between rooting for the monsters or rooting for the aliens.

The anamation was fantastic. The script was great. I give the movie 2 thumbs up.

Next time I go to the movies Im going to get some twizzlers.

Dont miss this EVENT!!!!

The wife and I just took the kids to see it. I thought it was good-not great. Maybe I'm just tired from working.

I do think the animation looked very detailed and the sound effects were rocking the theater speakers. I usually don't pay attention to the sound much, so for me to notice, is saying something.
I imagine that when it is released on Blu, it will be awesome in those respects.

If you have kids- they will probably love it. Adults may get a little weary by the end.

I took the wife, my mother and sister to the 8:30 showing last night. We thought it was pretty funny, but the theater was DEAD. Maybe 6 other people in there with us. If this is any indication, the movie is going to WAY underperform.
