If you guys are talking about Amazon, it says on their homepage that essential items will be first priority to ship.

I ordered a DVD copy of The Car for my father, and with Prime, that thing got shipped almost immediately and arrived 2-3 days later (yesterday). Who knows how they run things these days?

It only has the extras listed on the back (plus the trailer). Also, I saw someone mention in the "To Catch A Thief" thread that the image for that release is cropped in slightly when compared to the previous release. This one is the opposite: it's zoomed out slightly so there's more of the image on all 4 sides.

Wow. As much as some others are laser focused on issues with the cardboard and plastic these things are wrapped in (ultimately, I think the packaging they designed for these is fantastic for a studio release), I just can’t believe Paramount would go and do something as dumb as selectively leave off a wealth of bonus content for these “collector’s” releases.

The thing is, on at least two of these first three releases, there's over 10 GB of space unused on the discs. And even though King Creole never had any other extras, Paramount somehow managed to drop the theatrical trailer that was on the DVDs, even though they included the trailer for To Catch a Thief on that disc, despite dropping many featurettes (and the lossless stereo and mono tracks) from the Hitchcock film's previous Blu-ray.

I think everyone understands this, but a delay of 4-6 weeks on “non-essential items” makes little sense. People paying for prime should be given credits/partial refunds. I’ve got no sympathy for amazon the way they pay no taxes and treat their workers

I kinda assume the $12 orders will be given lowest priority, so I'm not expecting this anytime soon.

They left plenty of additional blank space on the disc, plus we’re talking about SD files they could easily encode at 3-5 Mbps, which would take up an extremely negligible amount of disc space. It wouldn’t affect the video encode for the main feature.
