I'm two episodes in and I'm not entirely sold on this yet, but I will stick with it as I read that it gets more gripping later on. They certainly threw money at this, excellent production values.

The first few eps are the weakest. It really kicks a goal in the final three. Great show. Turturro is incredible.

As with all David Simon shows, it take a couple of episodes to get going, but TBH it's not quite up to the standards of his previous works, but even David Simon cooking at 80% is still better than 90% of the stuff out there.

Never heard of this (I don't have HBO)......hopefully it receives a Blu-ray release.

Unfortunately, maybe not. HBO hasn't release the Deuce Season 3 on BD and now it is scheduled to come out on DVD.
