Amazon Sold Me a Fake Scream Factory Blu Ray?

I just received Sleepaway Camp III on Blu Ray (Scream Factory) from Amazon. The seller was Amazon.com, not a third party. I got the movie for $29.93 with prime shipping, which is not bad since it's out of print. I am having my doubts that it is authentic and was hoping some of you folks could help me out. The print is slightly off on the back and spine. The print quality isn't the best (like it's a fake). Please see pics and maybe give me your opinion. Thanks.

I didn't open it yet. I was hoping to tell before opening. I just don't want to be stuck with it. I guess Amazon will refund me though whether it's open or not if it's a fake... right?

Amazon.com had a title that's been OOP for a while now in stock all of a sudden? Can anyone else verify seeing it in stock recently?

If it's fake, yes. Especially since sometimes print quality of the covers aren't a good indication of a fake, sometimes the official releases are just not given properly printed covers.

A lot of Scream Factory releases have mediocre printing. Open it up and if the Blu-ray Disc looks pressed, then you’re fine. If not, Amazon will refund you.

I'm not seeing a lot on the spine that bothers me. The extra DVD logo on the combo does change the spacing they use. I don't have SC III, but do have quite a few others

Hard to tell on the back cover, but Scream hasn't always had the most pristine cover art -- I assumed some of that was intentional to go along with their B and C tier class titles. On your second set of pics the only thing that I can tell is that the cover art has slid upwards slightly outside the Poly-cover

I'd open it and if the disc is a normal BD (not burned) proper file sizes, then I'd assume it's OK. If it's obviously wrong or you're still unsure Amazon should refund (or at least Credit) you if you open a case

I opened it. Discs both look fine. They aren't DVD-R and BD-R. It has the reversible cover. The image resolution doesn't look the best on the reverse side either, but I do think it's real. Gonna test it in the player now.

Then you should be fine, some of Shout/Scream covers just aren't as well printed.

I seem to recall someone else coming across this same issue some time ago. It's speculated later pressings used different printers for the covers that made them lower quality.

Amazon can sell returned items as new products though. I've bought vinyls from them that were missing their shrinkwrap and books that were clearly previously read. So it doesn't hurt to take a little precaution, especially with a item they have low stock for.

There are no red flags in the images you've provided. Print quality of the paper inserts will vary depending on many factors.

Amazon obviously does not order their Scream Factory discs from counterfeit vendors, so if you are 100% positive you bought from Amazon directly, and not just some random 3rd-party seller offering Prime shipping, then there's no need to worry.

Saw it on 4/18 when I was reviewing my Wish List. I bought it immediately especially since it was sold by Amazon directly.

Discs work fine. Sorry, but I was worried because the resolution was bad on the cover. I have over 100 Scream Factory releases and this is the first one I've gotten that looked crappy (mostly on the back and spine).
