I think that’s actually a bad choice for a film that has had no marketing, and then Universal thinks people are gonna spend $20 for a 48 hour rental on a film they have no idea what it’s about other than Pete Davidson. They should’ve really just sold the film to Hulu or Netflix cause now it’s highly likely they’ll take a big loss on a film that otherwise could’ve been profitable.

Hulu just released a Pete Davidson movie last month and nobody cared.

See if no one would watch a Pete Davidson movie on Hulu, they surely won’t pay $20 to watch another one just once. Even Judd Apatow’s name alone can’t sell a film.

My wife and I have watched it about 5 times since it debuted. That and Little Monsters (with Lupita Nyong'o and Josh Gad) are on regular rotation at our house. He’s not Bill Murray by any stretch but he has a niche of fans. We’re looking forward to this new one too.

Big Time Adolescence on Hulu was great. If this movie is anywhere near that level of quality, it will also be quite worth watching.

Don't think I'm going out on a limb here, but they're not going to take a "big loss" on the film, this is a low budget production, that is best suited for VOD... Honestly, who's going to pay to see Pete Davidson in a theater?

As someone mentioned earlier, surprised they didn't offer it to Netflix or Hulu, but it could be the long play knowing that after it's June VOD rental release, and maybe home video release, they move it to Peacock.
