Have you not been reading this thread? Hardly anyone buys Third Window Titles apart from us. Even a 1000 will take awhile to sell

Entertainment Store have them for £19.99 on eBay; also the same price at HMV ("back in stock soon").

Since the Amazon cogs seem to be a bit rusty at the moment, I cancelled my previous order and reordered, and just got an email saying it’ll dispatch earlier than previously expected (now arriving on or before May 5th).

Finally about to watch this. Really cool to see some TWF on Vimeo to rent, and at such low prices (£1.60!) could've easily been the usual £2.50-3.50 per title.

This is a seriously niche product. Only likely to be of interest to people who are prepared to watch foreign films (1% of the population) and who have heard of this director (0.1% of that 1%) and who already own Tetsuo, Tokyo Fist, Bullet Ballet...

Mine’s now shipped expected tomorrow via AL. A day early as they have to deliver me something else tomorrow, so they’ve put in one parcel.

I find Amazon are increasing doing this to minimise deliveries. Slowing the despatch of some items but accelerating others to combine orders into one package.

When they initially announced things were going to have 3-4 week delays for 'non essential goods' I ordered a few that said they'd take that long, but as soon as I ordered something that had prime next day delivery they bundled them all together and shipped them. I'm sure they are deliberately quoting long lead times to make themselves look responsible but continuing to ship things as efficiently as they can.

Mine just arrived, lovely looking slip despite the new style BBFC logo!

I've just noticed Hanagatami will be the 50th entry in Third Window's Blu-ray catalogue (by catalogue number, there are reissues of Tetsuo and One Cut of the Dead in there and Ken and Kazu seems to have kept the 34th slot despite never making it to release) but well done on making it this far! We've all seen the challenges but it's a great little label that makes my shelf much more interesting, thanks Adam!

Mine magically went from Monday delivery to today. Should be here in a few hours.

EDIT: It arrived! However, the Blu-ray case was slightly damaged (I suspect this was caused by the manufacturer shoving the case into the slipcover and it didn't go as planned) which ripped a bit of the artwork but it's not the end of the world and I can live with it. I've posted photos of the set in the UK thread here. I did swap the case with another one but it's the same design.

What’s peoples preferred artwork for Animerama? I’m keeping with One Thousand and One Nights because it makes more sense as a sequential double feature (the first film followed by the next), but I also love the outrageous eroticism of the Cleopatra art. Besides Shameless releases (covered with stickers), you don’t see tits on a Blu-ray cover especially often! I also like how the disc hole aligns with either tits or the crotch on the disc themselves (for Anime Ltd’s Belladonna release, the hole aligns with the woman’s mouth.)

Only criticism is the liner notes are mostly drawn from the same Cartoon Research articles, but I don’t know if there are other English language sources and I’m sure there’s still useful information in there.

Considering that I preferred 1001 Nights over Cleopatra, I kept the artwork as it was.

Cleopatra I felt just didn't grab me as much as 1001 Nights and Belladonna had done. Heck I actually found 1001 Nights to be pretty entertaining and funny in various parts and quite liked the story (the ending was amusing). Cleopatra was an interesting concept that just didn't execute well in the end.

A whole bunch of Shinya Tsukamoto was added to the Arrow film channel on prime / other places.

Killing
Bullet Ballet
Kotoko
Snake in June

Not seen any of them, so I am diving straight in and having myself a little marathon.

I literally just watched The Adventures of Denchu-kozo and Haze back-to-back and wow it was certainly quite the contrast in tone lol. Going into Haze without any knowledge was an experience.
