Not getting 4k upgrades (Canada)

Just making sure, codes from a Sony 4k Canadian disc will redeem as HD and never upgrade, right?

I see ppl advertising they have CA 4k codes for Sony movies and I don't think that exists unless something changed recently....

I bought the Karate Kid Trilogy in 4K (Canada) and was disappointed that the digital code redeemed in HD. I have a Sony TV with Braviacore and got 5 free movies but didn’t choose the Karate Kid movies because I thought I would get them with buying the physical disks.
