It sounds like it's included according to TVSHOWSONDVD.

This is a serious question and I’m really not bashing anyone believe it or not, but is there any reason why they made Batwoman a lesbian?

Katherine Kane has always been a lesbian.

Technically she wasn't originally, just the revamped version of her in the mid-2000s and that doesn't really answer the question. Although we can jot it down to artistic licence and move on.

They are two different characters. One was Batman's love interest, this one is his blood cousin.

Black Lightning won’t have it. They haven’t included the episode on the Crisis disc, they’re not about to include it for something that’s gonna be MOD only sold from WB direct

BL won't have it because it'll be DVD only and Crisis discs are only on the BD sets... plus Black Lightning didn't have a Crisis-centric episode, he just appeared in other show's episodes and it didn't really affect that show the way it has for everything else, due to filming location and writers, it's mostly stayed the same course set from the start.

While I could understand criticisms from the initial episode and beginning episodes, but this series gets way too much scrutiny. Personally speaking, this is the only Arrowverse show I care to watch anymore. Supergirl is ok but had gotten worse over the years, never liked Flash due to their characters, and Legends of Tomorrow is good but not my cup of tea. Is this series perfect? Hell no. I even hate one of the main characters (Mary) but overall this series keeps me entertained and that's more than I can say for the other Arrowverse shows still running.

I mean, is there any reason she shouldn't be a lesbian? She is because that's what the writer decided upon creating her.

New Kate is basically Kate 2.0. It's generally easier for writers to repurpose older characters dust them off and put a spin on them than create new expanded ones. Basically whenever DC or Marvel hit a company wide reset, pretty much their entire rostrum become different characters.

When Alan Moore was conceiving Watchman he was going to do the same thing (DC had just acquired a host of characters from another publisher if I remember), but DC asked him to create his own characters as they had plans for the ones he was going to subvert and re-imagine.

Charlton.

Quote:
Most of Charlton's superhero characters were acquired in 1983 by DC Comics, where former Charlton editor Dick Giordano was then managing editor. These "Action Hero" characters were originally to be used in the landmark Watchmen miniseries written by Alan Moore, but DC then chose to save the characters for other uses. Moore instead developed new characters loosely based on them. The Charlton characters were incorporated into DC's main superhero line, starting in the epic Crisis on Infinite Earths miniseries of 1985.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlton_Comics

Those "Action Hero" characters included Blue Beetle/Nite Owl, The Question/Rorschach, Captain Atom/Dr. Manhattan, Peacemaker/The Comedian, Ozymandias/Peter Cannon: Thunderbolt.

Perhaps she raided Vincent Price's wardrobe too.

Actually it's not. Her mask is supposed to make a V-shape at the front without batears.

I'm able to watch every Arrowverse show via streaming up here in Canada.....except Batwoman, so I may be picking this up.

The Flash, Black Lightning, and Supergirl are on Netflix.
Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow are on Crave.

The Crisis event on a blu-ray is pretty exciting though, so that makes it a little better.

It's currently streaming (5-6 episodes in) in the UK on All 4 (Channel 4), it's a free service, but I think you need to sign-in and it might be Geo-Locked.
