anyways I got a question about face mask I know on 7th my local health department free of charge cloth masks

I was kindof wanting until next month order 1 of those 12.99 face masks wwe I chatted with guy he said its an elastic face mask

so basically I want to know is an elastic face mask better then a cloth or not in your humble opinon

then again are they the same thing I don't know

They already are in many areas. I was reading the other day how the rules are being relaxed for churches after many complained that their religious rights were being trampled.

The health department would be giving away the type of mask that they want people to wear. Get one of those.

California owner reopens gym, defies stay-at-home orders

Defying directives laid out by the state, owner Jacob Lewis reopened his gym in San Bernardino county, California last week.

Some gym-goers are wearing masks. Others are not.

And Lewis says he's fine with it.

"I'm big on the constitution so if you want to wear a mask, wear a mask. If you don't, don't. If you want to come in, great, use it, if you don't want to come in, stay at home. That's all it comes down to. That's the second reason for reopening and going against the grain. Those two things, mental health and freedom. At the end of the day, it's freedom."

Lewis - though - says he's not concerned about future outbreaks.

"There's not going to be. There's not going to be. Look at the CDC. I'm a numbers guy. I don't think on emotion, I think on logic and numbers and that's it. That's all. It's not going to happen. Watch. You'll see.”

No matter how you look at this, the bottom line is people like him are not acting like responsible members of our society. They simply don't care.

He needs to be shut down for violating orders, and not allowed to open back up when they do loosen restrictions, since it's clear he won't even practice or enforce safe distancing in his gym.

No matter how you look at this, the bottom line is people like him are not acting like responsible members of our society. They simply don't care.

He needs to be shut down for violating orders, and not allowed to open back up when they do loosen restrictions, since it's clear he won't even practice or enforce safe distancing in his gym.

Which unfortunately seems to be how most Americans are responding. They don't care about safety, they just want to do whatever they want.

I've driven with mine on because I'm on my way to the store and simply tied mine on before I left the apartment rather than doing it in the car. Just because someone has it on in a situation they don't need it doesn't mean they misunderstand how it works.

Good point. Some may just be taking a short run and don't want to fiddle with it in the car before they go in so they put in on before they leave.

It's bad enough that places to shop for food/groceries are limited but when they don't replenish products they've always carried, that makes me want to venture out to shop even less. Many of my staples have been out of stock since this nightmare began. At least my neighborhood market finally has Poland Spring water back in stock. Was tired of buying that cheap no-name stuff.

I don't know. I'm a practicing Catholic and I have to question the safety of even giving out communion at a time like this. Seriously, I can't believe no one even thought about how dangerous it is to distribute communion and then consuming the bread that was touched by someone's possibly dirty and germ-filled hands. I never thought it was a huge concern until now that we have a deadly, contagious virus lingering about. If the person giving you communion is a carrier, then you are screwed!

curious, what did you think of the cherry flavor from corona? i think its the worst flavor of any spiked selzter ive had, can barely drink it. tastes like cherry couch syrup. the Truly Cherry is amazing though

The importance of getting enough vitamin D (sunlight is best, otherwise supplements) can't be overstated in regards to this virus. The lockdowns may actually be doing more harm than good, as it keeps people from getting their normal dose of vitamin D from the sun, resulting in a vitamin D deficiency (VDI). Get out in the sun people, even if it just outside your door or in your yard. Sunlight through a window doesn't work, BTW.

Results: Twenty COVID-19 patients with serum 25OHD levels were identified; 65.0% required ICU admission.The VDI prevalence in ICU patients was 84.6%, vs. 57.1% in floor patients. Strikingly, 100% of ICU patients less than 75 years old had VDI. Coagulopathy was present in 62.5% of ICU COVID-19 patients, and 92.3% were lymphocytopenic. Conclusions: VDI is highly prevalent in severe COVID-19 patients. VDI and severe COVID-19 share numerous associations including hypertension, obesity, male sex, advanced age, concentration in northern climates, coagulopathy, and immune dysfunction. Thus, we suggest that prospective, randomized controlled studies of VDI in COVID-19 patients are warranted.
