Patrick Daugherty, from NBC roto, just moved fools gold Sean McVey out of the Top 5 HC for 2020 and two spots behind Doug Pederson.
This has to be a mistake. Forget the fact the Pederson is 2-0, lifetime, against McVey. Then there’s that little thing called a ring that Pederson has as a HC. McVey didn’t even show up to his big dance.
But...but...McVey is a genius. He’s the new look NFL HC. Lol! Now let’s see how long before he leaves town on account of all the horrible contracts the Rams handed out and lost draft picks from lofty trades.

John clayton said it so its probably right - first 4 weeks are all the afc/nfc games.

This way if they have to get lopped off its fairer for tiebreakers.

So kickoff game will be either car or atl @ kc.

Dalton is just an insurance policy in case Dak gets hurt. Dak’s about to get paid, signing Dalton was just adding quality depth to the position.

First good back-up we've had in Dallas since Tony Romo. Dak doesn't count because he was the #3 before he skyrocketed into the starting position in 2016.

How many times has Jerry proclaimed this deal is going to get done, and it hasn’t yet? Until Dak mans up, and signs for what he’s being offered (which shouldn’t reset the market either as he’s garbage against playoff teams) give it a rest. I don't think he is as good as Mahomes. Mahomes is the gold standard, Dak is probably right at the edge of top 10.

Okay I’m looking at a list of the projected starting QBs right now, and I’d love to be told how Dak supposedly fits into the top (or should be paid like Mahomes). Here’s my top 16 I’d take ahead of Dak:

1) Patrick Mahomes
2) Lamar Jackson
3) Russell Wilson
4) Deshaun Watson (has shit for receivers, but he’s that good)
5) Tom Brady
6) Drew Brees
7) Aaron Rodgers
8) Carson Wentz
9) Kyler Murray
10) Matthew Stafford

12) Josh Allen
13) Matt Ryan

While risky, I wonder if Dak is going to make Jerry come to his terms. Just play on the tag and make Dallas tag him again or pay him an even larger per year average next year.

Or Jerry says F you at the end of the season, and trades for a certain QB that has a history with their new HC, hates his current team, and would be happy to play for Dallas as they’re closer to a Super Bowl than his present team too. And yes I’m referring to Aaron Rodgers.

Owners will always hold all the cards. They earn every year. Players have a very finite window to earn big money. Owners never have to blink.
Bell tried and where is he now? Barely heard his name last season. So he basically threw away a season and then came back to a below average year. Oh yeah and just turned 28.

Well Bell also had the likes of Luke Falk as his starting QB for a large portion of the year. Was facing a stacked box every single play. Even when Darnold came back because he isn't the greatest himself.

That’s a fair take for sure. I just think since logic would tell us a compromise should have happened by now, that Dak wants market value. I also think Jerry thinks very highly of Dak and wants him to stay in Dallas for a long time.
