Indeed: Take this helpful chap offering a £49.99 CE for a mere £99 despite it not even coming out until 3rd August:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Flash-Gor...kAAOSwPiFetEhH

You'd think they'd wait until it was out of print or, y'know, actually released...

They're not exactly new titles, so their feedback could easily be from pre-fire sale copies they picked up in previous sales.

Most of these titles had been selling at low prices even before the last big markdown on everything. It's possible some of these ebayers scooped up a lot of copies on these titles when they were $8.99 & $14.99.

I'm not going to bash TT or SAE. I understand that they've been overwhelmed by orders and that COVID-19 might be presenting some fulfillment challenges. I get that. I just wish there were some way they could let me know if my order will be shipped out at some point. I have two orders from TT that are 7 and 9 days old and one from SAE that is five days old and the only update I've received is when they withdrew the full amount of payment from PayPal (almost instantly).

Again, I understand their situations, but from the customer's point of view, not being kept up to date regarding order status is frustrating.

I don't think this is entitlement.

I get the problem and I think there's nothing we can do. I guess the system explained a few pages back might explain why smaller orders get shipped out. I just hope that my big orders have allocated copies of my movies and it's just a matter of time - I won't complain then.

I have no proof other than a hunch, but I think my order is being held up waiting for a title that went out of stock before it could be shipped. I have no idea how long it takes to replenish out of stock titles, but I'm thinking it doesn't happen overnight. So I wait...

Honestly, I can't help thinking that for people who just jumped in and bought a bunch of titles as "blind buys" because of the fire sale, maybe they should be grateful if some of those "blind buys" get cancelled. There is a reason why a lot of these films were sitting around unsold: they're lousy films. Like "Peyton Place" - it has been hilarious seeing people in a frenzy to get copies of what is little more than a dog turd.

I got Cutter’s Way very quickly from Screen Archives. It look like 3 Days only.

My TT order is small. Only Talk Radio, Who’ll Stop the Rain and Murphy’s Law.

Or maybe it’s that the general public only watches newer, heavily promoted movies.

You're mistaking the dog turd for scandalous 50s melodrama. You would also abhor A Summer Place, which also oozes. Yum!

What a dumb comment. Notwithstanding, Peyton Place is an excellent melodrama.

We all know they are struggling with the unexpected amount of orders, but you won't appease anyone by saying everyone knew it would happen, especially when now we have first hand accounts of orders placed before others and yet being shipped later (or not even yet), which is the opposite of what they stated in their email. I'm just saying this because a lot of people use their email as a bible when we have proof it's not.
Yes, it absolutely is. Because those of us who are regular customers of Twilight Time titles and regular posters on this thread already knew full well that they were going out of business and the sale that has already been going on since the beginning of March was a de facto going-out-of-business sale. And it's funny reading posts from people complaining about "scalpers" buying up titles and leaving so many of you out in the cold, when you never visited this thread, and never supported this label until they were flatlining and you are all able to pick their bones clean by purchasing their stock at $11.95 each instead of $29.95 each, so yeah, if a bunch of titles you are interested in get cancelled because you left it all 'til the last minute I ain't shedding any tears.

I'm a bit put out. I placed orders with TT and SAE 9 days ago, and I still
have not received a shipping notice yet!, I will have to e-mail them and
rattle their cage.

Did you get the shipping delay email from TT?

Whoa, never heard of A Summer Place. A melodrama directed by Delmer Daves?! Now I want!

You must have heard the theme, though. That and The Girl from Ipanema are the Michael Caine and Gene Hackman of elevator music.

Just took a listen and I certainly have heard it. If this was on blu and I'd have purchased it (blindly of course), I would have been mind blown. Wow...

It has a pretty stellar veteran cast, too with Beulah Bondi, Arthur Kennedy, Dorothy McGuire and Richard Egan. While its not one of my favorite films, it has its charms...and great music.
