why are we moving the stuff around by the way? id rather have the turntable on top of the cabinet, towards the left side, then place the tivo (i think thats a tivo) inside. but then again if you watch a lot of tv, its going to be a nuisance to keep on opening the cabinet doors.

if we remove the shelf, what space does it create for the system? i mean, we can always try to put the panamax underneath the receiver, but we still have the panny on the right side. sort of the same thing in my opinion.

we can also consider stacking the panamax, then the panny, then his turntable on top of each other, leaving more than enough space for his receiver to breathe... but same thing tho.

can you place it on top of the tivo and swing it to the left area?

I totally agree with you I wanted to put the Tivo in the canbinet and the Turntable on top of the cabinet but it will not fit it is too high. I am getting a new turntable probably the VPI Classic and it is 10 inches high with the tone arm loop, that is why I can not put it on top of the cabinet it will cover the bottom of the tv, the whole center speaker and not allow me to swivel the tv.
