Does this mean that the Miramax tittles released in the UK by Lionsgate/Studiocanal are also going out of print?

It's not just a bad time for studio Blu-rays, but U.S. boutique labels too.
I'm nearly positive that the Scream titles going OOP are cuz they just don't want them anymore. I mean, they kept Pumpkinhead and Species, but gave up on the sequels. Probably those weren't selling well. I can't imagine films like Video Dead and The Nest had any other companies interested, or any kind of rights fee increase. It is strange that almost all are going or gone are from MGM, but they still have dozens of higher profile MGM titles.

Absolutely this. Pumpkinhead II was available at Hamilton Books for $4.95 for months on end a year or two ago clearly indicating that it didn't sell nearly as well as Shout factory anticipated. Most of the films going out of print have been around for 5+ years as well and likely just aren't worth the warehouse space costs. There have of course been a few surprises (Candyman) but by and large none of the titles going out of print have been all that shocking. I still believe that at least some of them will see new editions from other studios in the future.

Only reason why I'm not getting the double pack is because I heard the second one is bad. I don't want to own movies I don't like and don't want to watch even if they come in a cheap collection bundle.

I did the same. That second one is terrible. I found the first one used for $10. I’d rather save the $5.

I agree with you both 2nd one isn’t that good but I got it on sale for $8 and couldn’t say no. Edit: I actually paid $6.99 just checked my purchase history on Best Buy website

I liked the second one not as good as the first but still enjoyable to me.

Definitely give it a watch somehow before committing to it. It's not near as bad as most reviews would have you believe, but it's far from good too.

Was gonna say earlier that I did catch 2 in the theater and really didn't care for it. Checking my dvdprofiler, I picked it up for $4.99 at BB 10/18/12.

This is where I'm at now with it. Barely a shell of the first remake, but decent enough to keep IMO.

The Crow is such a weird one to me. I clearly remember this being one of the titles Walmart did that VHS slipcover thing not that long ago (had to be within the last 1-2 years I think?). That's when I picked my blu-ray copy up. Glad I did since it does seem to be going OOP. It's just weird that it happened because it had a "re-release" of sorts with that VHS slipcover not terribly long ago

The 2nd one is so bad and I was so excited for it because of Jessica Stroup. I have the 2 pack because it was cheap at FYE brand new and I wanted the first one lol

Do you clearly remember when looking at your slip?

It was around late 2018 according to my records. I picked up Heavy Metal, Halloween 6 Producer's Cut and The Crow with the VHS slips. Shame they don't carry any of em no more. I've only added The New Kids to the small, but dope, VHS slip collection. Had to get that online though, and it would've been cheaper if WM continued to get em.
It was my second copy of the Crow, sadly I sold one late 18/early 19, but still have the slip.

I don't expect this one to run out/skyrocket any time soon, but Fox released one of the best bad movies of the 2010s on BD, N-Secure. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/N-Secure-Blu-ray/22892/

no surprise that title like Video Dead or The Nest would be let go. they are titles that likely had enough of a fan base to warrant a release but once that fanbase had them they stopped selling. Pumpkinhead II may get another release down the road as the character does have a fanbase and some of the films still turn up on cable or streaming sites. i'm sure that many titles that come under the "wow can't believe that got a blu release" heading will start to disappear. the number of new fans that many titles get is few to none. witout new fans the demand just drops like a stone.

I was always hoping a double feature of Pumpkinhead 3&4 was gonna happen, like the Species disc they did. I might the only fan of those cheap TV movies, but they had some god ploy points and were pretty fun. Hopefully someone does it someday.
