I’m pretty much betting that SDCC will be the best option for the full drop so I’m hopeful July will be the time in which we’ll know with some certainty that the November release come hell or high water is firm. With the sudden uptick in news lately I’m keeping my fingers way crossed.

Trailer will likely be a few weeks before Tenet (assuming it releases 7/17).

Junkie XL is composing the score for GvK!

I've long been wondering who will score the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong. I was hoping Bear McCreary would return. I love how he took classic Toho themes, and "punched them up" to epic proportions (and they were epic to begin with!). I would have liked to hear what he would do with Akira Ifukube's original King Kong vs. Godzilla compositions.

But, I'm very happy with the selection of Junkie XL. He's provided unique and powerful music for a number of big films, and I'm looking forward to what he does here. If we can get something like Wonder Woman's screaming guitar theme for some of the kaiju... WOW!

With WW84 moving to October I really can't see this staying in the November window.

WW84 is at the beginning of Oct. GvK is at the end of November. That's like 1 1/2 months between the films. GvK should be fine.

Films are going to have to play longer on more screens to make money for a while. I can't see a studio like WB releasing any of their tentpoles within 8 weeks of each other until 2021 and theater capacity increases again.

They'll want WW84 to get a full 2 months of screens without their own competition, and Dune is still scheduled for 12/18.

It’s moved to May 21st 2021. Confirmed on Deadline. Taking Matrix 4 slot which is moving to 2022.

Guess it'll be about another year before my butt is in a theater seat again. Nothing to be done about it, maybe we can still have a little teaser for the time being.

None of these delays are shocking anymore but at the same time it’s SO FRUSTRATING. I’m expecting all the big fall releases like Conjuring 3, Quiet Place 2 and Halloween Kills will be bumped to 2021 next. I’m trying to come to terms with the fact that we probably aren’t getting any new movies in theaters in 2020. It’s just going to be a constant game of Let’s Push the Release Date.
