Default Are trustworthy mechanics really that hard to find?

Are they?

Yes they can be, Yelp is a great way to weed through the hacks imo.

My current mechanic shop, if something breaks will show you the old part, and then explain why it is bad and why it needed to be replaced. When I seen them do that and also how clean they kept their shop, spotless. I knew this was the right place to go.

I did try help and found 2 locations that seem to have good reviews on Yelp and on Google.

my mechanic (whom I haven't had to go to with my current truck) is awesome. he knows what he's doing. and he won't fix/replace anything extra without calling you, first, to have you come down to see and so he can explain it. he's one of 2 mechanics i've ever used. the other one sold his business and retired, so I stopped going there (wasn't fond of the guy who bought the business; just got a bad vibe from him).

the first one is just a few blocks from my house. plus, they do paint and body work; and they're pretty good at it, too. if you ask him a question, he'll be straight-up with you on the costs and the time and whether or not it's worth it to pay the money.

Good to hear, I cant stress enough how important a clean shop is too imo. Kind of one of those things that kind of shows if they will treat your property with respect because if they don't with their own, well you get the picture. Hope you luck out and find a good place.
