Been waiting for the Black Scorpion movies from Corman. Haven't seen them in so long other than the series through Shout TV.

In the past I mainly sticked to the Collectors Edition releases. But with the lesser output at least for August and September I´m thinking of buying a couple of Non Collectors Editions, too. Is there a list by production year regarding Scream Factory titles? I would like to focus on 80s Horror titles for the start.

Any recommendations regarding Scream Factory Non Collectors Editions from the 80s?

I think it's in the same boat as the other Roger Corman Presents features from Showtime, it's owned by Pacific Trust and wasn't part of the library sale to Shout.

Could we get Curse of Frankenstein in 4K?

Probably not, but man would it be glorious!

It's less of an urgent point now that we've established that it's not OOP, but my copy of Robocop 2 from Family Video @ $13.99 has just shipped, just a few days after placing the order.

Finally got a shipping notice for my replacement disc of Candyman 2. Was a little worried it'd get cancelled since it went OOS. Now I just hope this one doesn't arrive in multiple pieces. Hahaha.

PJ's getting quite the backlog with the Beatles doc, the 4K versions of his early films and he also mentioned he wanted to do Ultimate Editions of the Lord of the Rings films for an upcoming anniversary year if Warner was on board. These would be even longer cuts than the Extended Editions which I'd love to see, though not sure the general public would care.

What is the last thing he directed? He produced and helped with the writing on Mortal Engines but did not direct. I guess it was the Hobbit trilogy.

I bought a copy of Army of Darkness Steelbook off a seller on Ebay. It was listed as brand new. It had some tears in the cellophane. When i got it, it had 2 holes punched through the front of the case. Could not see the holes in the auction picture. I was so disappointed. I got a partial refund and sold it myself on ebay.
But i'm trying to get another. The price on Ebay has just skyrocketed out of nowhere. I ordered a normally priced one from the website bluraysforeveryone but it's been 6 days and they haven't shipped it. I hope it was actually in stock.

Last directed work was the Hobbit trilogy. I feel as though the rushed process of the production of that swayed him to backseat heavy duty productions and focus more on post-production things. With They Shall Not Grow Old he challenged himself with something new and he's taking that same style over to the Beatles doc.
That's a first I've heard of even longer Extended editions. If that does happen, I hope he colour corrects the first one so it's not so heavy on the green-blue.
And as for his early work, I keep wishing for them not to be pipe dreams. Those films are spectacular and it really showcases how a filmmaker can evolve and also shift from wacky b-movie aesthetic to a more dramatic seriousness and not skip a beat. (Reminds me of Sam Raimi)
I would also love to hear some commentaries and see behind the scenes on those productions. I adore Meet the Feebles and I know Dead Alive/Beainddead is a cult classic. But Bad Taste is gold and anything talking about the making of that should be a great influence to any wannabe filmmakers.

The last thing I remember reading about these, it sounded like Jackson wants to do all the work at WETA and give the bill to whomever ends up licensing the titles. I suspect that any such bill for the restoration will likely be inflated, so I'm not sure if any of the indie labels would be willing to license the titles under those circumstances.

We were in line before he showed up and as we were talking in line he comes up behind us taps us on the shoulder, shakes our hand and thanks us for waiting. He did that with every person who was waiting n the line. And he really spent quality time with people! He was really nice and talkative.
I'll also throw my hat in the ring and state that Lillard is one of the nicest celebrities I've met at a convention. Each time he went to the table, either at the start of the day or after a photo-op or panel, as you said, he'd come through the line and shake everyone's hand before getting to the table. He's up towards the top for me, along with (just off the top of my head) Tom Atkins, John Barrowman, Shannon Doherty, Adrienne Barbeau and Terry Kiser.

Kane and Felissa were really nice. I never got to meet Sid. Assuming Texas Frightmare is still going on without a hitch, I'd love to meet Dee Wallace.

I wouldn't be shocked if Shout/Scream does a virtual panel, with how much of a tradition the ComicCon announcements have been for them.

Well, the first two posts have a list of all the titles, both CEs and non-CEs, although it doesn't give the original years for them. As for some I'd recommend, the TerrorVision/Video Dead double feature and The Town That Dreaded Sundown are both worthwhile, although they're bot going OOP, so you may want to snag a copy while you can. I also enjoy the X-Ray/Schizoid double feature and Witchboard, off the top of my head.

I enjoy Scream. They do a solid job. I'm impressed with the work they did on Dracula (1979) especially. The original color timing was impressive.

I asked on FB if they were planning to do a virtual SDCC panel, they said “Not sure yet and are still in discussions.” I’d be surprised if they don’t do something tied to the event.

Besides the possible Friday 13th Box Set, what else would be likely they could release next ? Is Lost Boys in the Cards ? Personally I would also be up with more 80s Action Movies in the vein of Cobra. I´m not the biggest Hammer Fan and would be fine if those releases would not further extend, at least not as CEs.

I think Warner will release The Lost Boys on 4K themselves, and maybe even as early as this fall. They've already announced Beetlejuice, and I believe there was a recent screening of a 4K restoration of The Lost Boys.

I don't see them doing very many double-dips on Hammer releases, but Brides of Dracula should be their next announcement, and I think they would save The Curse of Frankenstein as a Comic-Con announcement.

I think we'll see them jump into 4K soon, and I hope that the Friday the 13th box set is their first 4K announcement. There were also rumors that The Thing would be coming to 4K soon, and if Universal isn't releasing it themselves, then it could be one of Scream Factory's first releases.
