You’ve just ruined Monday. Hope you’re happy

I think Halloween is a good enough time for them to release it

Woah. Step one on the long wait to the Touchstone back catalog? But first step better than no steps, which was the fear...

Of course this would be their first non-franchise catalog title. It's still crazy how well this sells around Halloween.

Wow, does Bette Midler have some Disney executive's balls in a vice, or what?

This is excellent news.

Eh, the UK got the recent SE Blu-ray, though. I could see Disney releasing this in NA/UK/AU or at least NA/UK. Japan has never gotten a Blu-ray, either, so this might be the opportunity to release the film there.

Did not expect this one at all. More catalog titles please, Disney.

Buggering hell. On one hand I'm delighted, on the other hand I only bought the new BD late last year! Because, you know, this one just has to be rebought when they dangle a 4K in front of me.

That's great news. I don't care about this film but hopefully that means that Roger Rabbit gets a 4K release as well.

Yup, came here to say that if nothing else this is a good sign that Disney is still planning to release at least some catalog titles. I’ll pass on this since I picked up the BD steelbook a few years back and the movie doesn’t sit too well with me anymore, but still good to see it coming.

In a lot of ways this is not surprising. This movie always jumps back on the charts every Halloween. I've never seen it -- but I think that's about to change.

If they're gonna release Disney+ 4K exclusives, let's hope Pirates of Caribbean is next.
And let's hope it's not the same transfer.

I bought this digitally last year, and still found it as disappointing as I did when I first saw it theatrically -- I was in college (). I think it's just too kid-friendly. But I love the three leads, and this is great news for fans.

If it's already on Disney+ with a so-called 4k stream, then you can bet dollars to donuts that's the source master they will be using for the disc just with a higher bitrate.

Disney is all kinds of cheap and lazy to re-do a 4k HDR transfer for disc. They recycled disc masters for years on Blu-ray without further improvements.

There's probably going to be a new steelbook.

Kid-friendly?! There's so much innuendo in this film that really caters to the adults. And so much humor I never understood as a child.

With somewhat darker, more adult friendly content than what they have here (yes, even kids/teen stuff in the 70's and 80's weren't afraid to push the limits a bit), and stronger plot, Hocus Pocus could have been really good considering their main cast.

That said, I'm glad Disney's gears have started to come unstuck. Now, bring back the Fox catalog WITHOUT f--ked up Atmos tracks... quality Atmos tracks instead!!
