30 Rock Complete Series looks to be OOP. It was #15 on Amazon Best Sellers chart yesterday with no copies available to buy from the marketplace.

They're supposed to be taking the blackface episodes out of all the streaming platforms. I wonder if they're doing the same to the physical release? The first season of Game of Thrones got edited because of a prop that looked like Bush. Doesn't seem too far of a stretch that they may do the same with this. Maybe that spurred some panicked buying. In any case, I doubt it's permanently OOP but future pressings may have episodes missing.

Something being OOS doesn’t automatically mean it’s OOP. Especially when it was released just two months ago.

Exactly. Still...people don't understand that supply chains are still screwed up. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of recent stuff people mention isn't really OOP, unless official. Fox titles though are a safe bet.

I understand that, but with the blackface issue, this could certainly be out of print at this point.

Yes it could, but there’s zero confirmation. People also bought up GWTW and that’s certainly not going to stay OOS.

It would be interesting to see g-w-t-w come to 4k uhd.
At the 12th Academy Awards, it received ten Academy Awards (eight competitive, two honorary) from thirteen nominations

I wouldn’t bet on that the way things are going. If they do rerelease, I’d bet my bottom dollar that it’ll be edited. Sounds absolutely crazy but it could happen.
It just goes to show you how important “OWNING PHYSICAL MEDIA” is.

Please don't talk about GWTW. We've lost so many threads already, this one is too important.

GWTW? They're not going to edit it. First of all, if they edit at all, they'd have to edit out quite a bit. Swing Time, released by Criterion fairly recently, has a much more racist scene than anything in GWTW. Maybe WB will let them license it!

Oh look, a reasonable train of thought--

New copies of the Third Season set go for pretty good prices, but I don't know if it's that hard to find used copies at a reasonable price. At any rate, I don't doubt that some of the It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia seasons with the blackface episodes will dry up soon. The Season 9 DVD is already hard to find. Did that season ever come out blu-ray? There's a listing for it on this site, but no release date.

Season 9 was DVD-only.

I'll never understand why some users on this site put stuff in their collection as "owned" when it doesn't exist.

There's a difference between not existing and Disney wishing something didn't exist.

Maybe they don't want to have more than one collection, so they include DVDs, Lasediscs and VHS to show they have that title.

Hoping they just put a warning before the episode and not try to erase it from history all together. Mad I didn’t snag this while I had the chance.
