Apple is charging $10 for the 3.0 firmware update for iPod Touch users! Does anyone know when they will start shipping touches and iphones with the 3.0 already bundled??

Also 1st gen iPhone users won't be able to have the MMS features.

They usually announce the new models in August/September. What does this update even add for the Ipod Touch?

i've never had to pay for a firmware update. i use a zune though and they don't charge for firmware updates. they shouldn't be doing so in the first place.

I am pretty excited for the bigger parts of it. MMS and copy/paste will be very nice

i'm stuck in a 2 year contract otherwise i would have got an iphone..... actually, would i have?? aren't they like only 8gb?? i don't know.

the 16gb is $299. That's what I got. I have 6 or 7 movies on there tons of apps a good amount of songs and still have plenty of space. I love it

I have an 8 gig.... with Orb on it... which gives me access to the 2TB of storage that I have on my home PC; anywhere I can get wi-fi or 3G...... which is basically anywhere.

Oh.... and the COOLEST part about Orb... if you have a tv tuner on your PC..... you can also watch tv on your phone!
