Default Itunes Canada codes

I have an Itunes code for The Hunger Games Catching Fire Canada code I tried using a VPN to redeem this code in Itunes but said I needed a Canadian Itunes Account just wondering is there any walk around for this.

Many studios/distributors issue Canadian iTunes digital codes that work in either U.S. or Canadian iTunes accounts (e.g. Paramount, Disney).

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is distributed by Lionsgate, and they probably use separate codes in Canada versus the U.S.A. Therefore, the code is likely not valid for the iTunes U.S.A. version. A VPN is of no help here.

So if the code won't redeem in the iTunes U.S.A. store to your existing iTunes account (don't use a VPN), the only way to claim this movie may be to create a new iTunes account in the iTunes Canada store using a Canadian mailing address. No VPN is required to do this. However, it means you end up with two seperate iTunes accounts, a Canadian one and an American one, containing your various different movies. You can easily switch between account in Apple TV without the use of a VPN to watch your movies, however.

A better way to do it :

The movie share the same ID ( Canada and USA )

ID 741296001

1- Use all your credits on your USA iTunes account. ( You also need 0 subscription etc...)

2- Go in iTunes setting. Change the country to Canada. ( Use a fake Canadian address)

3- Redeem the code.

4- Switch back to your own country (USA store)

5- Done.

You will be able to play it from USA account.

Supposedly, as long as the movie has the same id in the U.S.A. iTunes store as in the Canadian store, it should port to MA.

I'm wondering what level of risk there is switching an account to another country and back again afterwards. Has anyone ever ended up losing access to movies after reverting the account back to their home country, movies they had originally in their home country account?
