I didn't read your whole post, but according to IMDB, Paramount/Dreamworks have the video rights to Transformers in ALL territories. So, you won't be getting a BD from another region.

Now, I'm sure some resourceful person will rip the HD DVD and remaster it for burning onto BD-R/RE, and that will end up distributed via the internet... but that wouldn't be legal so I would never condone that.

Shit I would condone it. Hell, I would pay $200 for a copy of transformers on blu ray in light of the recent backstabbing.

Besides the excessive use of capitals and a few incorrect facts..... looks good.

the issue is the guys over at the avs forums are attacking me. although i clearly stated that i am a BD supporter. yet i am trying to see why they claim to see HDDVD is better than BD. and so far all i got from them was sony is evil. WHAT ABOUT MICROSOFT? HAVEN'T MS PAYED PARAMOUNT TO BE EXCLUSIVE TO HDDVD? SO FAR SONY HAVE BEEN PLAYING THE GAME FAIR AND SQUARE.

They didn't respond to you because you were not going to listen to anything they said anyways. When your first sentence is:
Quote:
HDDVD STANDS FOR....

H.........D..........D..........U........D
What kind of civil, open exchange of ideas were you expecting? If you want them to respect you, then you have to show them respect, regardless if you believe they deserve it or not. Considering the huge insult you opened up with, they went fairly easy on you.

that was the idea. my first post to bluray.com wasn't that positive, it was negative, although i was pro BD to begin with i just wanted to test the waters before swimming, if you know what i mean. some people took an offense to it but they at the same time tried to debate with me, or explain to me why they favor BD over HDDVD.

i just read what you posted at avs! They took a long time to answear your questions about why they support hd-dvd over blu-ray? and the best they came up with was transformers and cheap players and films! They seem to live in there own dream world personally!Everyone know the blu is out selleing the red!I would just leave it and dont bother wasting your time over there.

I read what baccusboy had to say stating that Sony should pull the reins on this site for bad PR? Sounds like someone was a little upset at getting banned.

i wanted to see what they would say to me. I did expect cheap players and films. in terms of cheap players i agree with them, yes their players are cheap, yet their movies is a complete rip offs. the combo discs cost 34.99 in the states but BD's cost about 24.99. that is about 10 bucks cheaper. its nothing but a crock of shit....

I reckon someone should mail one of those burned HD DVD rips to Paramount as a thank you. :-)

I do condone it!

Paramount deserves to have their movies ripped and put onto BD-R's

Well... all their post-exclusive stuff will be in my library. Even if I don't like it. Rememeber, like mysig says. There is no HD DVD exclusivity.

Piracy works when there is a niche. Shutting down a couple of million people from having access from your product when there is no technological barrier is music to a pirate's ears.
