Clearly based on the fact that this day old thread is over 60 pages long and an existing thread is practically pinned to page 1 - there are a lot of fans. Honestly, I'm not on that level, I almost picked up that parts 1-8 set, but never got around to it. I have a dvd set of 1-4 and then part 6. I do love that the upcoming set has individual cases with what looks like original poster art. The 80s movies had great poster art.

I had no qualms about buying it since I was one of the lucky ones that got in on the TCM fiasco and made that much money back just selling my existing copies of the film. I was really confident this set would receive a commentary for Part 2 before the official announcement. I was really surprised to find out there still isn’t one.

That is a little bit odd, isn't it? A cast commentary would be really cool or something with a film fan/scholar talking about all of the unfortunate MPAA cuts made.

This is my favorite Friday in the series since Jason is so creepy in that cloth mask. Also, it features my two favorite final girls from the series.

Same here, I was one of the ones that got lucky with TCM for the Halloween set. I figured I had to reset my karma and pay it forward by paying full price directly from Shout this time.

New 4k scans of 1-4 is great and finally getting part 3 in true 3D is a HUGE plus that brings the set much closer to definitive status. I'd like to see a release trailer for Jason Lives with movie scenes (if one exists) - instead of just the teaser which shows the tombstone and coffin.

My Shout order status shows "order taken" - which is hopefully good. My credit-card has been pre-authorized with the amount.

Question #13: will these Friday the 13th box sets be numbered?

I went through a lot of delays trying to get the Nightbreed set at Amazon but it eventually came through.

We aren’t done with the set. It’s still in production. More extras will be announced in late August.
Covid has impacted this set greatly. We are doing the best we can but some people still don’t want to leave their homes.

I apologize if this is a question you've already been asked or looked into, but is it possible to just have them record it with, say, Zoom or Skype or something of that sort at home with a microphone and then use a moderator to help the conversation? I don't know the logistics or if it's even possible, but just a thought.

I love what you've announced on the set so far, though! The hype is real.

I'm sticking with my TCM pre-order unless I hear it's best to switch.

As far as transfers for 5-8, they may not be new 2K or 4K scans but everything I've read about the previous blu rays has stated that the films look very nice. I don't own any previous collection for this series but the only thing I read was that part 6 on blu has an odd color grading. What's that about?

EDIT: Ha, never mind. I posted this and then read several posts above mine that whatever problem people had with the color grading has been corrected.

The blu-ray for Jason Lives that was in the prior Complete Collection set (and thus in the cheap 8-film set) has a weird green hue on it in the daytime scenes.

I'm most excited for the NEW 4K scans of 1 thru 4 and Part 3 being in TRUE 3D. This alone made me want it. And the cover art option of original poster art\VHS art, and 5 thru 8 having their own disc space.... Surely the 5 thru 8 films will be given a lot more room as opposed the previous set.

CMAC Shout Insider, there are a lot of worries on here that sets pre-ordered through different vendors may be in danger of being cancelled? Can you assure everyone that pre-orders done this early are safe?

Oh yes. But that 4K still has the wrong mono track.
