Fascinating, I did not know that. I rolled my eyes so hard when this series was first announced and avoided it for the longest time because I lost my tolerance for the constant stream of rehashed material (and as you can probably tell from my avatar, 12 Monkeys is one of my all time favourite movies).

It wasn't until around the time of the last season that I gave it a shot, after reading that the show eventually becomes something quite different from the movie. I'm glad I did, because I ended up liking it quite a bit. I thought the cast was very good. They have some very nice chemistry.

I guess original scripts being repurposed to fit into an existing property must be a fairly regular occurrence these days, huh?

And yes, I'm fully aware of the irony of me poo-pooing rehashes when Gilliam's 12 Monkeys was a repurposing of the concepts of La Jetée. The difference is I wasn't tired of remakes in the mid-90s!

We were talking about Agents of Shield. You are correct, 12 Monkeys has four seasons.

I decided to blind buy the bluray complete series from amazon. The price is a little high right now but i had some points to take it down to a reasonable sum. The release date says July 14th, but my shipping window is July 31st-Aug 26th even with prime, which the set is prime eligible. Its very odd as all my other prime shipments have been on time with the exception of Pennyworth the first season. Maybe because someone said this set is MOD, the same as the PW bluray.

The Complete Series from Mill Creek isn't MOD, the individual season 3 and 4 sets from Universal were/are MOD.

Mill Creek is about as bad as MOD with release dates though, they get delayed a lot.

Amazon.ca dropped my set off today. Gunna start a rewatch when I get off work tonite!

Could someone possibly verify that this contains the corrected final episode? (some previous pressings were missing roughly a minute of runtime).

Mine just arrived. It's in perfect condition despite some extremely minor corner crush. I have no idea why Amazon so rarely uses boxes any more.

The packaging only mentions region A, for what that's worth.

It looks great! And maybe l’ll wait for confirmation about the region coding. As a lot of Mill Creeks stuff says Region A but it also works on my Region B PS4.

My copy is due today. For a while Amazon had given me an estimated delivery window that extended to August 25th so I'm glad whatever issues that were causing a potential delay have been resolved. This is a blind buy, BTW. There are 4 seasons so I assume that means it's good.

I've only watched the first two seasons however I've enjoyed it greatly so far and am very excited to watch the rest. If you enjoy complex stories, time travel, and excellent characterization, this series is for you.

"On season 2 Episode 5 “Bodies of Water” the company that collected this put the bonus commentary version in its place.

If you go to the bonus section and choose the commentary It will play the commentary version aswell."

Can anyone check this?
