So you like to comment on things you are incapable of judging. Got that. So you commented without actually critique content. That not a opinion at all.

Again, I really think that someone else here needs to hear that far more than he does.

His comment here was a general one and you know it. You just got your big ol' sh*t stirring spoon out early today. Keep it up and I will go to your Oppo threads and pepper them with all manner of fun questions.

I like to be reality based, I am well aware of presentation quality differences, if you have a choice. With that we have none. I like to see this come out on 4K media as it had some really nice film settings in Spain.

Not from, my location, in which Netflix is a neighbor. Yes the local headquarters for some of the richest companies on this planet. Silicon Valley.

See If Silicon Valley were a country, it would be among the richest on Earth - Guardian

Quote:
Were it real, the Sultanate of Silicon Valley would be among the world’s richest countries.

Cranking out $128,308 per capita in annual gross domestic product (GDP), residents in California’s tech belt out-produce almost every nation on the planet. The valley’s output, pegged at $275bn by the federal Bureau of Economic Analysis, is higher than Finland’s.

Depending on how one counts it, Qatar’s per-capita GDP, estimated by the World Bank at $128,647 in 2017, is the world’s highest. The per-person output from Silicon Valley – more precisely, the San Jose metro area – actually outpaces Qatar’s by some measures, and puts the valley squarely in the company of such wealthy territories China’s casino peninsula Macau, estimated per-capita GDP $115,367, and Europe’s sumptuously medieval Luxembourg, estimated per-capita GDP $107,641.

Home to nearly 2 million, the San Jose metro area includes Stanford University in Palo Alto, Google’s headquarters in Mountain View and Apple HQ in Cupertino. Half the world’s tech billionaires live in Silicon Valley; a sizable portion of the remainder live just north in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Unless Netflix have somehow managed to miraculously improve their 4K quality to match disc, I feel pretty qualified. I do own a Apple TV also and I have seen 4K content on that. Neither are a match for disc. I’m judging on that and I trust the opinions of my fellow disc lovers. My general comment still stands. Watching Blu-ray and UHD makes one alert to obvious flaws in streaming quality. I have an eye for flaws, what can I say?

I am one of these disk lovers, but as they say don’t judge a book by its cover without reading the book. So perhaps you should trust the fact I am credible rather then trying to criticize something you cannot no longer have a opinion. I see films/content via streaming that I readily prefer the UHD BD if available , mostly observed from Netflix or Disney plus which this location consistently sees the highest speed. You need to tolerate this a substitute for lack of on shelf content these days. I also think the current media offerings is pretty pathetic. So much great content, but studios are not releasing dated content frequently. The whole industry needs to get its act together with why they aren’t filling up shelves.

Is that known as having a flawed perception?

I don’t and won’t tolerate it. I have broadcast tv with BBC, ITV and C4. I have satellite in 4K. I have a vast collection of films and tv on Blu-ray/UHD. My top five tv shows of all time are all on Blu-ray (Twin Peaks, This Is England, The Twilight Zone, Hannibal and BBC nature documentaries)

Will there b3 a time when I might have to tolerate that stuff? Yes, but not this day. Not this day!

The account and the ads are gone, you go hungry now.

When I do hear of people complaining about very dark presentations, I still feel compelled to see if it is actually that bad. You know utilizing OLED looks better that this big screen projector setups. It might be smaller screen but it is razor sharp.

I watched original Twin Peaks, the ending was dreadful.

I realize you are satisfied with your options, and hope you are tolerating this fun time ok.

Ok, you crossed the line now! Lynch is a god! Every single frame is perfection. Twin Peaks is perfection. Don’t, just don’t!

How’s Annie? Dreadful? WTF?

I have to strongly disagree with you here.

Twin Peaks the original series and Fire Walk With Me are brilliant artistic achievements. I enjoyed them both immensely. They are even better with pie.

Odd. I have no problem filling up my shopping cart whenever I go shopping for discs. I am finding a vast wealth of choices.

Seeing as you are a heathen who can not appreciate Twin Peaks, who knows what else fails to satisfy you?

I dare say most of the 1991 consensus of how the ABC show ended on TV has long disappeared as seen on June 10, 1991. Did you know that on August 6, 1991, the World Wide Web went live to the world?

It was very odd back then you have this beautiful show with the memorable landmarks recreating this unusual mystery horror drama, where they closed it off with mediocre special effects it was like a travesty to most of us. Possibly they redid this all together later on as 2014 brought the season back again. But the original 1991 version was "bad"!

I can't even recall it but it was widely criticized by the viewers as disappointing. This might be a a example. It was a long time ago.

Twin Peaks - BOB takes Windom Earle's soul - YouTube
I fixed that underlined part for you.

If you are now citing youtube reviewers as some kind of proof of any show's merit, then allow me to point out this show's rating on imdb.com: 8.8 out of 10 with 167,630 votes cast. Overall ratings for movies and TV shows seldom achieve such high marks even on an unscientific poll such as those offered at imdb.com.

Twin Peaks changed the tv landscape for ever. Make no mistake about that. It pioneered a brave new world for tv audiences that is still apparent today. The first season was untouchable. The second series had its flaws but redeemed itself in the end.
The problem was that mass audiences could not comprehend the sheer multi layered brilliance of the show. They wanted the murder mystery wrapping up and they wanted a straight forward drama. All these years later, TP is acknowledged as one of the greatest tv shows of all time, and indeed, one of the most important. In retrospect, even the film (Fire Walk With Me) is now regarded as a cult classic with such highly regarded critics like Mark Kermode.
The final series? Genius. It played with expectations and gave us something different. Lynch never plays by the rules.

Like Vilya said, the show rates very highly on the internet. It also scored RT 88% critics AND audiences. This isn’t just another good show. It’s a great show that lay down the base for all high concept, deeply layered must watch tv that exists right now.
