You know, I really wanted to like Lost. All my friends liked it and I saw about half a season, I really tried to like it ..... but they just kept making the show weirder and weirder and I really have a feeling that the writers dont know how its gonna end, it feels to me like they are just making it up as they go along painting themselves into a corner and when all is revealed, it will be a big disappointment .... or they will never reveal what everything is all about and just cop out with a bogus "hear we go again" type of finale .... just my take on the show ....

The writers on Lost have had the complete show mapped out for a long time. They throw some extra stuff in, but the main storyline and how it was going to end has been in the minds of Cuse, Abrams, and Lindelof for a very long time. They take great care of the show and keep it on track. They are not just writing week to week they have a plan.

Thats good to hear that Chuck is going to get an amazing final episode whether its the season or series final one. Also might be a good sign if the producers are presents stories for season 3 to NBC execs.

Thats what the Jericho series finale was like .... it left it open for an interesting third season but I was content with the way it ended...

Wish that list had Hereos, Lost and Flight of the Concords. HBO used to have the best shows on TV with-Sapranos, Six Feet Under, Carnivale. Now they have Entourage, Big Love and True Bood. Showtime with Dexter and Weeds. FX has to be the most consistant network with great shows all year-Resue Me, Sons of Anarchy, Nip/Tuck. Another show I still like is Scrubs.

I think that's part of it but they also don't seem to count people that watch the shows on DVR (or watch it on the internet) and that seems ridiculous to me. I just don't understand it. What's the difference if I watch it in realtime and walk out of the room/change channels during the commercial or if I skip the commercials (or let them play) on the DVR. I'm just as likely to see or not see a commercial either way.

Dont care. They are more of the crime drama garbage that has produced 50 CSI shows now? Who will miss a couple less.

This show is gone, and it should be. Average writing could have made the second season bearable, but they lost about 60% of the season audience with goofy female characters and no direction, trying to set the show up for syndication... They fell on their faces and now draw about 3 million viewers for the episodes where they kill off one person per show. NOTHING will save this show except for everyone but the principal actors getting the axe.

This show should stick around just based on the fan base.

Exactly, I work 2nd shift, so nothing I watch is live. Every single show is DVR'd. They really need to take into account more people DVR now than watch live. I don't think I know anybody who watches shows live anymore. The only live events I do watch are UFC, but thats because I pay $55 per event lol.

I still watch Terminator, Dollhouse, and My Name is Earl. I enjoy all three, though none of them would be huge losses for me. I'd imagine Earl will survive though. It hasn't quite hit syndication numbers yet and has ok ratings.

Oh, and if Chuck survives and gets a third season, I'm finally gonna check it out. I like the premise of the show but just haven't jumped in yet for whatever reason.

Season One is on blu-ray so there's no reason not to jump in now.

That blu release is definitely where I'll start. But if the show gets canned with no closure... I don't know. I just won't be in as big a hurry to watch it. Just like Pushing Daisies. We'll see how it plays out.

Well like I mentioned before Josh Schwartz is planning on this being the end so they shot the finale in a way that will make the fans happy. I've been a fan since episode one, and you still will get 2 awesome seasons worth of fun. Pushing Daisies was doomed from the start though, Chuck has had a solid fanbase and they have plenty of time to wrap the story up.

Ah. I missed that. That'll certainly help. I hate it when good shows get canceled without proper endings. Especially long-running ones. I never watched Las Vegas, but I read how that got canned in the middle of a two-part episode after being on the air for years. What an outrage that was! Anyway, Chuck's certainly on my radar.

Yeah I watched Vegas the entire time, and the finale was the main character getting married who was pregnant and suddenly there's blood on the floor and that was our big finale after like 5 years! It's like WTF!

Schwartz has said the finale will feature a game-changing twist that will (hopefully) launch the show into season 3. But they set it up in a way that if they do not come back everybody should be satisfied. Plus the next few episodes feature Chevy Chase and Scott Bakula!! I just cannot imagine this fantastic show being canceled while reality garbage like American Idol has had like 9 seasons! To me that is a real sad statement about America.

Wasting 4 hours of your life on something that ultimately doesn't pay off for you is commendable.

Now if Lost were even half as good as BSG, I'd hack on him a bit for it, but all Lost does is ask questions, and more questions, and then they go back to the original questions and ask more questions about them.

Plus there's the ever so fun bits about "Hey, someone we know got kidnapped, let's all sit around on the beach and let things sort themselves out about it" that really made no sense when you looked at them later.

I made it through the entire first season before realizing that all that Lost will ever do is keep asking questions and setting up pointless plotlines that look as if they got a group of writers together and set up a wall of plot ideas and got each one of them to throw a dart at said wall, whatever the darts hit, they put in the show.

Like Sea Manatees but with less intelligence.

Why are we even still debating Lost here when this thread is for shows that are in danger. Lost is guaranteed for several more seasons, so here it's non issue.

I think people expect too much to happen with Heroes every week. To me people are upset if amazing things don't happen every week and never let a story develop.

Lost is guarnteed to end next season. The Sapranos sucked. It was a cheap rip off of the Godfather.
