4K Player glitching when playing Blu-rays

The Criterion “C” loads and the accompanying drop down menu appears after a while. Audio comes in and out, stuttering. Screen is otherwise black. No video at all.

Are you able to test them elsewhere? did you manage to try other Blu-rays?

Then it’s a problem on the HDMI end, nothing to do with the laser. Try eliminating any AV receivers in the chain, connect directly to the TV, try a different cable... if all those fail, probably cheaper just to get a new player.
