Was going to wait until the end of the month to pick up the Whit Stillman trilogy thru UV, but amazon has it for $2 more plus free shipping. That $10 flat rate UV charges is a real kicker... they might just lose sales because of it

Just needed to vent - got my Barbara Stanwyck collection in from Amazon today. One loose disc, scratched right down the middle... Other discs were in their cases okay, but one was scratched on at odd angle. One disc case busted.

Sending it back for a replacement, but this is getting tiresome. Almost ready to throw in the towel with amazon purchases. This plus the Columbia classics set being scuffed up, my copy of Zorro looking like the slipcover was stepped on...

I miss in-store purchasing, at least THEN I could decide whether to buy something if it was in decent shape.

Is it Amazon or the delivery service? I received 2 WOW HD orders the past week. Both were stuff in my mailbox so tight (instead of using they key lock box) and All movies were like they were stepped on. The movie slip inside the case is all indented now.

It's $3 cheaper than what UV will eventually have it as during a 40% sale, and you'd get it around release date. They only way it would really be cheaper is if UV ever had it at 50% off. A Criterion.com flash 50% sale price would be about $174 CDN, but you'd have to pay for shipping, and also run the risk of brokerage fees at the border.

If I was interested in this set, I'd probably go with this Amazon.ca price.

Hmmm. Well, I'm really not in dire need of that hoverboard replica. As long as we get that remastered trilogy for a decent price, I'll be happy. Maybe Best Buy will even get an exclusive steelbook for it?

Best Buy has announced a SteelBook set, but no word on Best Buy Canada carrying it yet.

We will hopefully hear soon if we're getting any of these exclusives...
