^^ I guarantee you one thing:

You won't even even think about that player again in about two months from now, give or take.

I've said this dozens of time now:

The Samsung should have come out at an MSRP of $799 to match the Toshiba XA1.

Samsung's record in the DVD player market is atrocious, so even that would have been pushing it. A grand MSRP is a joke.


This player's life is essentially over with the first second any of the new BD players hit the market.

I think they should drop the price to near $500 and firesale the damn thing while they still can, because I can't see anyone who's going to early adopt something like Blu-Ray go for this Sammy player when it's anywhere near the same price as Sony, Panasonic, Pioneer Elite, etc.

At least drop it to $799 MSRP if nothing else.
