It would be nice to see a horror movie that deals with an LGBT coming-of-age story. There might be subtext, but I can't personally think of many, if any well made LGBT horror movies. There's a fair amount of poorly written, poorly acted, eye-candy centric ones, sure, but not many that are taken as seriously as the heavy hitters. If done right, it could be pretty ground-breaking, even with all the inevitable boycotters.

I think Rocky Horror Picture Show is a classic and should be considered must-see for all lovers of film.

I read the novelizations of the first three (they were combined in a single paperback, as I recall) way back in the eighties and they gave me nightmares. Gorier than the films and there were descriptions of what he did with kids (nothing sexual, I think? Just killing with razors?). A new Nightmare part 2 with sexuality out of the closet would be interesting.
